Vampire Discussion at a University

In the fall (october to be exact), my university campus will hold a day of discussion devoted to the myth and history of vampires.  I wanted to ask if anyone knew of any vampire discussion groups, authors or researchers in New England or the Midwest.  We're in Southern Ohio so the closer the better but we're willing to branch out.

Speakers can include: researchers, professors, writers, discussion groups, those who believe they are vampires, people who participate in the culture or anyone who has something useful to add to the discussion.

If you know of anyone around where you live or would like to participate, I'd love to hear from you :D
