riotxriotxriotx: (no subject)

i thought some of you might be instrested in ringtones from epitaph bands for your cell phone. i saw an ad for this a few days ago. "It works with most ATT, Cingular, and Tmobile service. Standard text messaging rates apply." all you have to do is send a text message to 73804 with the word "EPITAPH". i got a Time Bomb-Rancid and For Boston-Dropkick Murphys tone! they have a whole bunch of other bands too, you should check it out!

sharp_thistle: Fighting Gravity

I took a trip out to Farmville Virginia tonight and ended up at Hamden Sydney College checking out Fighting Gravity and Agents of Good Roots... Fighting Gravity has evolved immensely since I saw them in the 90's. Plus, HS is full of pretty brown haired boys for me to oggle!

sharp_thistle: What to do?

Should I go see Social Distortion, or Hot Water Music w/Flogging Molly on February 28th? Damn Damn Damn.

sharp_thistle: A 3 hour drive and influenza kept me from Me First.

If anyone made it to the Me First And The Gimme Gimmes in Washington D.C. at the Black Cat on January 7th, please let me know how it went. I bought my ticket a week in advance with the intention of driving up from Richmond all alone to see the show. As the week wore on, I felt shittier and shittier and thus I could not make the drive. What a shame?
In other news, Social Distortion is playing at the Norva in Norfolk, Virginia on February 28th, just 2 days after my grand 25th birthday. I really want to go. I am a huge Social D fan, but I have never been to one of their shows. Given my recent misfortune with buying tickets and then failing to appear at the show, I am a little nervous about shelling out the damn Ticketmaster fee. Also, it is a hell of a drive for a gal to make alone. Blast!
