Title: Until the clock stops
Rating: PG-13, slight R
Genre: Romance, and a drop of angst
Summary: Hyukjae thinks about seconds, minutes, hours and days that Sungmin would spend on him, chasing away nightmares and fears and anything else that made him cry.
Hyukjae stares at the clock, eyes wide. He blinks and his eyes burn and water up-it's 1:09 AM and Sungmin still isn't home. He wants to curl up and sleep, but he knows that if he does that, he'll think, and if he thinks, it'll be about bad things, and then he'll start to cry.
He can't cry-they're going on Star King today and he can't have puffy eyes, or else Manager-sshi will scold him.
It's been almost a whole day since Hyukjae wasn't with Sungmin. It was 7 AM when he woke up to Sungmin's lips playing with his, a smile and a playful scolding to get up. It's been nineteen hours, nine minutes and 34 seconds.
Not that he's been counting or anything.
Usually, he can't fall asleep unless Sungmin is there next to him, making him warm and scattering all the bad thoughts, which instead, travel to the darkest and most secret corners of Hyukjae heart. Sungmin will usually fall asleep on his side and Hyukjae will cuddle up to him, feeling like how a baby bunny curls up to it's mommy.
Though, what Sungmin does with him, is definitely something a mommy wouldn't want her babies doing until they were all grown up and out of her way.
He thinks about the first night that he and Sungmin in the same bed.
Now, looking back on it, he must have looked like SHIT. He had been crying so his nose was probably all red, his eyes bloodshot and swollen and his nose runny and his lips twisted into a terrible grimace.
Thank God it had been night, or else Hyukjae would've been ludicrusly embarrassed.
"Hyukkie," Sungmin had said, quietly, in soft, soothing cadences. "What's the matter?"
"H-hyung," he gasped, in a choked, thick voice. It was like someone hadn't let him breathe fresh air for months.
That was basically the truth, and more tears were burned from his already hot eyes.
"Hyukjae..."Sungmin had said, in a comforting voice, taking him into his arms, rubbing soothing circles into his back. He clung on, still sobbing, feeling empty.
But slowly, slowly, he got warmer, Sungmin calming him down, warming him up and making his sleepy.
It wasn't fast enough, and Hyukjae never really realized why he pressed his lips to Sungmin's so desperately, insistently. Maybe it was the fact that he needed warmth, or the fact that he needed to be wanted, or maybe it was just the fact that he wanted his Hyung to chase away the tears.
Hyukjae, though, just kept on kissing him and Sungmin gave in, and they spent the night doing more and more to make each other warm, and wanted and loved and everything that Hyukjae desperately wanted.
The second time it happens, Hyukjae had a nightmare. He climbed into Sungmin's bed, cuddling closer, and Sungmin sleepily opened his eyes, and understood why his pillow was wet, why there was another body in his bed, why his roommate's bed was empty and why Hyukjae was clingin to him, face buried in Sungmin's neck, quiet, choked hiccups and sobs jerking from his body.
That's the first time Sungmin kisses him, not Hyukjae kisses Sungmin first.
It becomes routine for them, really. Every night, one of the other will crawl into the other's bed, and one of the them will give the other a kiss, so desperate and needy and irresistable and just so begging for affection and love, and it will just take off from there.
The thing is, it's always different with Sungmin. He can be feathery, caressing and gentle, and other times he's aggressive, demanding and bruising. But he always satisfies Hyukjae. And when he doesn't, he keeps on going until Hyukjae is.
Sometimes, though, Hyukjae wonders if this is just a quick fling, and in all honesty, Sungmin doesn't really care about Hyukjae, just the sex or if Sungmin really does care about Hyukjae the way Hyukjae wants him to care(I want you, I need you, Come closer)-about him.
The door opens, and a familiar silhouette walks in, slides next to him, takes him in his arms and there's a familiar, wonderful warmth on his lips and even Hyukjae knows, as oblivious as he is most of the time, that Sungmin cares about him the way Hyukjae wants and when Sungmin does that thing-a twist, really-with his fingers, Hyukjae loses his train of thought.
Sungmin is whispering things that would make a mother scream in horror if she heard him saying that to a girl, and Hyukjae breathes a quiet, "I love you".
Sungmin abruptly freezes and Hyukjae is just scared-just so fucking scared-that he was wrong.
Sungmin sighs against his lips, and his hands caress the skin on Hyukjae's back near the shoulder blades that makes Hyukjae want to hum in pleasure. Hyukjae's heart feels sort of sick and feels like it's starting to get cut out of his chest, still beating.
"I've wait so long to hear you say that." Sungmin purrs, and Hyukjae feels so much better.
Sungmin slides his fingers down Hyukjae's body the way Hyukjae likes it and Hyukjae can't stop the moan that falls from his lips.
Hyukjae lets Sungmin make love to him and lets him kiss him and bite him and lick him until the Sun comes up and the clock stops.
This pairing...is hardly ever seen. I wanted to write it, since it seems so scarce. Aigo, this is so bad -.-
