Chapter Title-Don't Don
Summary-Kyuhyun's living in a world full of deluded, insane, talentless people. A diamond in a sea of trash. Or so he thinks.
A/N:Okay...so this is kind of like...a multichapter song fic story but not exactly...all the songs are by suju,of course, but I looked up the meanings and put them in an order that I think tells a story...so...I hope you all like it.
Kyuhyun stared as his last hope faded out and died right before his eyes.
“Sorry kid,” said the company representative, “you’re just not cut out for this.” The doors closed in his face and he sighed. He’d given it all up for this? Kyuhyun couldn’t believe it. Everyone had been so wrong. In this world, a nice smile and a little talent weren’t enough anymore. It disgusted him. Everyone in the industry was so boring now days half of them were only in it because their parents helped to start the companies or something. In this place, even though he was so much better, he was a nothing from nowhere, and that was all he’d ever be. He’d failed, every single open auditions, so many, and all they wanted was money, money, more money. Didn’t they have enough money? Other failures slumped by miserably. He started walking, not quite to anywhere, just away from where he was now. There was no place to go now. Millions of months as a trainee and he had left his real home, his real family, somewhere in the past. Just then, a billboard caught his eye. There was a boy on it, who looked, not much older than him, with a beautiful face. He was probably a model. ‘Do you have what it takes?’ The billboard said, ‘Join us in the fame finder talent contest tonight in
“They don’t even know what real talent is,” he mumbled.
“And you do?” a voice asked from behind him. It sounded pleasant, not at all sarcastic. He turned around and backed away a bit. Behind him was the model guy from the poster. If it was possible, he was even more beautiful in person. Kyuhyun was both appalled and impressed at the same time. He looked down and shook his head. The boy smirked and Kyuhyun felt like backing away again.
“You’re cute. Stay for the whole thing and maybe I’ll take you home afterwards.” Kyuhyun raised an eyebrow and the boy glided away. It wasn’t walking, it was gliding, Kyuhyun was assured.
“What is this?” he asked himself and sighed, tromping off to go find a good spot.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to fame finder. We’re all just as excited as you to see what our contestants have to offer. At the end, the best one will get a recording contract with one of the leading companies in the modern music industry.” Kyuhyun couldn’t help but stare a little at the beautiful boy. His voice was nice too. “My name is Zhoumi, and I’ll be your mc tonight.” He flashed the crowd a smile. “Now, let’s get this party started.” Kyuhyun crossed his arms and tolled his eyes.
“Let’s see what these no talents’ve got,” he said to himself, and prepared for the show. The first person to come out was terrible, the ones following him not much better, and the night seemed to wear on. The crowd still screamed and cheered though, and Kyuhyun could only wonder why. None of the contestants were all that talented, or good looking, so what did the audience see in them? He sighed and momentarily glanced away from the stage. Long enough to catch a glimpse of a group of girls staring at him. He looked back to the stage to avoid the awkwardness.
“Okay,” said Zhoumi, with a sort of strained smile, “ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our last contestant.” Kyuhyun smirked. Even Zhoumi, as the mc, was in pain from listening to all these no good singers. He practically glared daggers at the poor girl who took the stage. She smiled nervously, and taking a breath, she began to screech one of his favorite songs. His last nerve cracked.
“THAT’S HORRIBLE, STOP!” he screamed, and jumping up onto the stage he seized the mic. “This is how you sing it,” he said, and Zhoumi, waiting on the side of the stage stopped the guards.
“Just wait,” Zhoumi told them, “I think this is going to be interesting.” They nodded hesitantly but backed off, and Kyuhyun sang. The crowd went ballistic when he finished, and Zhoumi took the stage.
“Well,” he said, “it appears that our last minute surprise entrant is…the winner!” He slung an arm around Kyuhyun and smiled. “What’s your name cutie?” Kyuhyun raised an eyebrow but smiled.
“Cho Kyuhyun,” he said. Zhoumi grinned at him.
“Well, Kyuhyun,” he said, “we’re gonna make you into a star.” From there, things went so fast. He got a recording contract, no trainee stage, he was given a schedule, no questions asked, and he was somehow escorted to Zhoumi’s penthouse condo.
“You can live with me,” Zhoumi said, winking at him and then glided off to his bedroom, leaving Kyuhyun to stare after him, mouth hanging open..
