In an attempt to gather ideas to write fic, I'm hosting an alphabet meme at my journal! :D

the alphabet meme
♥ pick a letter
♥ pick a fandom/crossover and a character or a pairing or a threesome

Letter from the Nest [03 Feb 2011|05:49pm]

I just finished playing Fable III (following Fable II) about a month ago. In the midst of writing something bigger for Reaver, I ended up writing this ficlet.

Title: Letter from the Nest
Fandom: Fable (II-III)
Characters/pairings: Sparrow, Princess, Reaver (Reaver/Princess-y?), others
Rating: K+
Summary: Queen Sparrow writes her daughter a letter regarding one of her older enemies.

a/n: This is basically just me having fun with established characters (less established in Princess and Sparrow's case) and filling in some blanks. It's shippy if you squint. Can also be found here on fanfiction.net.

"I mean only to prepare you."

Fic for Fable II [16 May 2010|05:42pm]

Hey. I wrote a little piece about why I chose the Love card at the end of Fable 2, and I'd love any constructive criticism. I hope there are still a few people alive on this community...?

Title: "Wilhelm"
Fandom: Fable II/Fable III.
Pairing: Sparrow (the Hero of Bowerstone)/her husband, Robert.
Rating: PG (nothing happens romantically, really, I'd push for G, honestly).
Summary: My explanation for why I chose the Love card rather than the Sacrifice card at the end of the game. The day before Sparrow heads off to the Shadow Court, and the end is spiralling towards her.
Wordcount: About 1,900.
Genre: Drama (I wish 'foreshadowing' could be a genre).

[ mood | chipper ]

so i wrote this, it's not quite fan fiction so much as it is a background explanation? idk idk. as far as i can remember, the history within fable has always been super fascinating to me. like the background information with scythe, william black, the court, jack of blades, all that jazz. clearly, i am too interested in this game and have no life i am very devoted. i didn't know where else to post this, so here it is. i have done my research, jsyk.

i'd like to tell you a tale.Collapse )

See the Future of Albion [12 Apr 2009|09:18pm]

[ mood | blank ]

“See the Future” of Albion With the Much Anticipated Second Game Add-on for “Fable II”

The future of Albion awaits discovery. In the latest game add-on for “Fable II,” the award-winning role-playing game that has sold more than 2.6 million copies worldwide, players will encounter challenges unlike anything a hero has faced before. Available in May exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Microsoft and Lionhead Studios keep the “Fable II” adventures going in “See the Future,” an action-packed journey that requires players to lift the curses placed on three mysterious items that have come into the possession of Murgo the Trader.

In “See the Future,” players will be given the chance to heed the call for a hero to restore color and balance to the world, or let Albion fall to the wayside. Those who emerge victorious will receive the ultimate reward: a quest that provides a vision of Albion’s future and what lies ahead for those born into the heroic bloodline. The fantastical new quests in “See the Future” will bring players face-to-face with new characters, creatures, events and legendary artifacts, including:

Murgo: Having first met him during the childhood sequence of “Fable II,” Murgo returns to Bowerstone Market to bring an amazing array of new wares, including potions that can transform canine companions into new breeds.

The Ghosts of the Snowglobe Quest: Holding a disturbing secret, the small model village inside it was once a real town in Albion. The people who once inhabited it are now ghosts condemned to endless torment until the shadowy threat that cursed them is defeated.

The Cursed Knight Quest: Forever banished to a land beyond the dead, the Cursed Knight awaits a hero who has the strength and will to dress up in convincing costumes, even imitating a hobbe or balverine, to save him from his fate.

The Colosseum: The Colosseum puts even the Crucible to shame. Only the greatest heroes have triumphed here. Players’ abilities will be put to the test to prove themselves in combat once and for all, to win the ultimate in prizes.

In addition, “See the Future” offers free unique items* to all, including Welley’s soldier helmet and other clothing, a braided ponytail and other hairstyles, psycho Jester make-up, a new hero expression, the back flip trick for canine companions, and a collectible Murgo the Trader gold statue.
The “Fable II” “See the Future” game add-on will be available for download exclusively on Xbox LIVE Marketplace in May for 560 MS Points for the premium content package. “Fable II” is available exclusively on Xbox 360 and is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB and PEGI 16 +

Fable 2 Question? [13 Nov 2008|09:05pm]

[ mood | curious ]

I'm curious to know if you guys/girls picked either male character or a female character.

My boyfriend made me be the female character because I am girl. I don't think I should have picked the female character just because I am a female. So I'm curious to know which character you chose.

Fable 2 is addicting as all hell. I can't stop playing it since I bought last weekend. :)

I can't believe this place is still dead after the release of Fable 2! So... I shall post, maybe I can help get things rolling again for a little bit.

So... I finished the main storyline involving Lucien last night, and I thought it was very, very good. Far more ambiguous than the original Fable ending. It also struck me as... well, a little ominous.

Cut for (tiny?) spoilers...Collapse )

Ending aside, what did everybody else think of the sequel, if you have it?

I'm currently in the middle of Fable: The Lost Chapters and I'm currently undergoing the "Investigating the Mayor" quest. It says that I have to light the lamp by the stables three times, but what lamp? The only one I see is the one hanging over the entrance to Barrow Fields, and I can't seem to hit it.

marriage when you're really evil. [25 Aug 2005|07:16am]

okay, so in fable, my attractiveness meter is 100.
but so is my scariness meter. :{
how the fuxx0rz am i going to get a girlfriend? (or boyfriend?)
how do you make your scariness meter go down?
same with raising your good deeds points.. it's so easy to be evil, but so hard to get good deed points. >.< do i just keep on killing bad guys until my evilness factor goes down?

...because i'm pretty evil. my eyes glow red.

is it honestly POSSIBLE to get married when you're an evil alignment?
it seems almost impossible..

[ mood | disappointed ]

Wow, wtf. I just finished the game about 4 minutes ago, and I must say...i'm a little more than pissed. I think it offered like 20k for money, and another 20k renown or some crap like that. But after you beat jack and go through the little sword thing...there's just credits. So I skipped the scene and went to play again, and it just starts in the burning guild again. LAFHAS UGH! I WANNA KEEP PLAYING! There's money I need to spend dammit!! THERE'S GIRLS I GOTTA MARRY! THERE'S THINGS I STILL NEED TO STEAL! I'm sad. But then again I should be used to it by now, with all my years of Zelda playing. Whatev. It was still an awesome game though.

The Lost Chapters... new information, and a worried Jack supporter. [19 Jul 2005|06:01pm]

(Copied from my journal, just because I thought it might interest you guys)

New information is out about Fable: The Lost Chapters. This brings about a new wave of questions, excitement... and in my case: worry.

Supposedly, after the Hero defeats the powerful Jack of Blades, an old Guild Hero named Scythe appears to ask the Hero to help regarding a new wave of evil power in the North from these folk called Summoners. (Anyone here get a mental image of a Hobbe-like Yuna waving about her stick like it was a sword? Yeah.)

Okay, I'm happy about this. We may be able to see the Northern Wastes. Yay! On the other hand, if this takes place AFTER Jack's death... I'm worried that they might belittle my favorite character.

"You just killed this powerful guy, but now an even greater evil is coming that makes him look like a pansy."

Yeah. Unhappy Taco. Also... I wanted to see more -Jack-. It's great that there's a new story, but what about additional quests DURING the first 'story'. *sigh* I guess I'm just... weird or something.

I talked to a guy awhile back to claimed to have a connection in Lionhead. He said that people (Summoners?) would bring Jack back using their power. This was before I had read this article, so I'm starting to question whether this could actually be true... before I just tossed it aside as a lie.

What to think... what to think...?
