The proof was all found in his eyes,
those eyes that swallowed her soul,
that her entire being was lost in the light brown shimmers
after just one penetrating glance.

The proof shone through his eyes,
those eyes that couldn't stray from hers,
the incandescence sparkles that flashed when she made him smile,
and reflected his mood like a mirror into his heart, into his soul.

The proof was in his eyes,
those eyes that haunt her nightmares even months after he was torn from her,
that she can't stop picturing every day and every night,
and wishes that she forget... but never wants to lose.
