I am open to taking in some zines for review! I'll be starting a zine review column for Subterfuge magazine (a new-ish women's online magazine) called Broken Stapler. It's been a few years since I got any new zines and I'd love to review some new zines instead of ones I've had sitting in boxes for years and years.
I'm willing to trade you some stamps for zines or pass along a couple of bucks for some zines.
Please, please, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know if you are interested in me reviewing your zine. Let me know what kind of contact info you'd like me to include in the review or any special notes you'd like me to add. I will let you know when I have written the review and when my editor has actually published the review online. As of right now, I do not know when the magazine is going to be live online again as it's been down for a facelift for a while. But if you are interested the web address is subterfugemag.org
I've been making zines since I was in the 8th grade, and distributing zines for almost 3 years now.
I used to operate my distro under other names including Hello Saturday, and This Saturday Night; this year I began attending college and I've moved to a larger space so I decided that I wanted to expand the distro. I decided to change the name to Early July Books.
I'm looking for zines of all kinds, including music, pesonal, resource, DIY, and anything else! I'd really would love to get more music zines in the distro though.
If you are interested you can email your zine to:
4535 S Lockwood Ridge Rd
Sarasota, FL 34231
If you'd like to submit an electronic copy you can email it to: email@example.com
*I can do consignment or wholesale, whichever is easiest for you!
[www.earlyjulybooks.com] <-- The site is pretty naked and I'll be updating it and changing it throughout this month.
[I'll be cross posting this. Sorry!]
a mini zine about my brother & his drug use & how it affected me & my family.
it is 40 pages & it took me less than 24 hours to do it :)
#1 is called a connect the dots game gone horribly wrong, and it's a series of collages about depression. An attempt to visualise feelings I haven't had the courage to put into words.
#2 is a mini zine called musical memories about songs that remind me of certain events in my life.
They're both available on my etsy for a stupidly low price. Trades are also welcome!
