EXXON [ESSO/MOBIL] PREDICTING IMPENDING PLATEAU
Without any press conferences, grand announcements, or hyperbolic advertising campaigns, the Exxon Mobil Corporation, one of the world's largest publicly owned petroleum companies, has quietly joined the ranks of those who are predicting an impending plateau in non-OPEC oil production. Their report, The Outlook for Energy: A 2030 View, forecasts a peak in just five years.
History may judge it as one of the capital moves of the 21st century's New Great Game: May 25, the day high-quality Caspian light crude started flowing through the Caucasus toward the Mediterranean in Turkey. The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) - conceived by the US as the ultimate Western escape route from dependence on oil from the Persian Gulf - is finally in business.

I understand how hard it is to pull out of a fast downward spiral, but we need to blast the urgency of these situations across the media and drill the cold hard truth into peoples' skulls NOW! We need drastic change yesterday.
Sometimes the oblivious nature of the human race sickens me and pisses me off.
Guess what people...i ride my fat ass to and from work every day on a bike when i don't really have to. I do what i can to limit how many trips i need to take in the van.
And i grit my teeth when ignorant SUV driving soccer whores from "upper-middle-class-utopia" bitch about gas prices getting so high. GET YOUR COSMETICALLY LIFTED ASS OUT THERE AND WALK!!!
If we all did our tiny, seemingly insignifigant, part to reduce natural fuel consumption it would add up exponentially. Think about it, if a town with 500,000 people with vehicles were to reduce their consumpyion by 1 gallon a week, then in that one little city, in one insignifigant week, they would save FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND GALLONS OF GAS. Multiply that by how many vehicle owning people there are in america alone. It's a staggering product, to come from something as insignifigant cutting out one gallon of gas a week from our lives.
WHY CHANGE IS SO HARD
French sociologist, Gustave Le Bon once said, "The masses live by, and are ruled by, subconscious and emotional thought process. The crowd has never thirsted for the truth. It turns aside from evidence that is not to its taste, preferring to glorify and to follow error, if the way of error appears attractive enough, and seduces them. Whoever can supply the crowd with attractive emotional illusions may easily become their master; and whoever attempts to destroy such firmly entrenched illusions of the crowd is almost sure to be rejected."
WAKE UP AND GET UP!!!
