Last night mangasakira asked me whether I could teach her how to make an icon similar to the one I'm using right now *points at icon above*. And since I'm feeling generous I decided to share it :P And now I present you yet another tutorial, which I'm hoping is as easy to follow as the ones I had written before.
How to put an animation over an icon. Like this one:
Another tutorial for mangasakira 8D and since I'm nice, I decided to share 8D
Some of the animated icons have those fading texts somewhere in them. This tutorial will show you how to make them (or at least, it'll show how I make them. Others may have their own techniques? 8D)
Like the text you see in this one: Which is what we're gonna make today~ 8D
You'll need Photoshop CS2.. wait.. I've already told you what you're going to need in this post, where the first part of making an animated icon is.
By the request of mangasakira I bring you my humble tutorial of making an animated icon with that cool black border-frame. 8D

You'll need: Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe ImageReady CS2 (although it's easily used on CS as well. No idea about CS3 because I need to buy it and I'm too lazy to do that for now XD), also, you're gonna need a sequence of images (aka the screencaps of the clip you want to put into an icon) put in a separate folder (you'll know why once you start reading), a clear head, some good music in the background, a nice drink and about 15 minutes (or less) of your time. You won't need: Cookies, because they are swimming happily in my stomach :P
