Hi there, I joined WW today. I decided it was time to lose weight and this time I'm determined.

Anything else you wanna add: I've been on WW before about four years ago and lost about a stone (my SW was significantly lower than it is now, though). I've always dieted and always tried to lose weight but now I feel like it's the right time. I'm nearly twenty and I need to sort my life out!

I've lost 20 lbs! Wahoo! During the holiday months! Double wahoo! Our meeting on Sunday got cancelled due to weather, so I won't get a chance to weigh in until NEXT Sunday. Boo!

Now I'm slowly getting out of the holiday rut. My husband and I have been slacking because we don't go to meetings anymore. Our leader switched days (now he's on Monday nights) and we can't make it to his. The new Sunday afternoon leader is nice, but she's way overthetop for us and asks a bunch of rhetorical questions that really doesn't help to motivate. I'm really at a loss. I don't feel as motivated anymore. Of course the compliments I've been getting has helped a bunch, but I really miss our leader. Is that stupid or what?

I might see if I can just weigh in on Sundays and make the last 5-10 minutes of his meetings, but it really stinks. :(  Anyone else have this problem? I rememeber reading about it before on here.

Eating out is also a huge problem right now for us. We've both been social butterflies recently and have gone out 3-5 times a week! While we can find good options at Ruby Tuesday, Bob Evans, and Cracker Barrell - we've been tempted to eat the stuff we shouldn't (Banana Nut Bread is SOOOOO yummy). This week I'm going to try to track better and eat in more than we eat out.

choosing a weigh in day

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me with this..

I do WW on my own, and always weigh myself on Monday mornings. I am considering looking for a meeting that meets the days I can go. I would prefer to go on Monday nights after I get out of work to keep with the whole Monday thing, but there are none around me that have meetings in the late afternoon. They have one on Sunday mornings, which I could possibly make, although it is quite early for my likings. They also have meetings on Wednesdays and I have every Wednesday off. Do you think if I went on Wed. to weigh in, but then again still started up again, aka, restarting my flex points allowance on Mondays, would mess up my schedule? If so, I will stick with the one Sunday morning meeting option they have..I usually use all of my flex points on Saturday or Sunday since those are the times I need them for going out for dinner/drinks with my bf and friends.

I wanted to go tomorrow morning just to register but am not sure if they are even open on Martin Luther King Day.

Do you find it helpful to go to more than one meeting per week? (I am going to get the unlimited pass if I do join).

I have not chosen a location either since I have a few things to consider before I do. If you join one location but want to check out another is that allowed??

How many of you weigh in between meetings (if you go). Why or why not?

If you don't go to meetings, how often do you weigh yourself? Once a week, twice a week, daily?

My second meeting isn't until Sunday, but I weighed myself last night. I just don't know if I'm getting an "accurate" reading or if I'm jinxing myself. Scale at home shows that I've lost 2.9 lbs on day four. Just don't want to get my hopes up, you know?

3rd time the charm?

Well, I just joined WW for the 3rd time. I had success the first time, but unjoined due to financial reasons, the 2nd time my heart just wasn't in it. But this time I feel like I will be successful. I have a new outlook, live in a new state, will attend different meetings and etools has changed! It just all feels refreshing this time. I have been tracking the past 3 days but haven't attended a meeting to weigh in because I sorta live in the country and there hasn't been any meetings to fit my schedule but tomorrow after work I'm going!
I love this community and have been following it for years since the first time I joined.
I do have a question though. I have never attended a meeting in a temple/church and the ones near me are in those locations. Can I expect my meeting to be made up of people who attend the temple/church? Or will it be people like me, who are just there for weight loss? I am afraid of walking into the temple meeting and feeling completely out of place. That will discourage me from wanting to do WW if I have to drive 30 miles out of my way to go to a meeting that isn't in a church, ya know?

*worth it?*

Hi, my name is Ruby and I had a few questions.

I haven't joined Weight Watchers yet, but a friend gave my household all of their WW information and booklets. So I started counting points today, but no meetings. I have been a WW member twice in my life, when I was a kid with my mom, so I don't remember too much really. I'm nervous about joining because of the scales. No, I don't really care (so much) if people see what I weigh, but my last weigh in was 417 and I want to know if their scales will weigh me or if I should expect to not be able to weigh in. Does anyone here know anyone that has lost over 200lbs with WW?

In any case I'm hoping to join in the next month or so (maybe the next week actually). I'm not looking for super fast or miracle cure, just something that works.


Online weigh in

Hi all!

I'm thinking of switching to the online program but wanted to ask your opinions including pros and cons. My biggest reason for switching is that I hate the meetings and never stay. What's the monetary difference?

Oh and I also find the site not user-friendly which is a con!


This or that.

I was a ww online member for quite a while and then stopped because I didn't have the money to pay for it. I fell off the bandwagon very easily after that. I'm not very good at tracking. I recently came into some extra money and was thinking about either joining my local ww meetings or hiring a trainer at the gym. I unfortunately can't do both, but I'd like to do one. Which would you do if you had the choice?
