I have been doing really well the past 2 weeks, and I think one of the reasons is what I'm eating for breakfast. It's a little bit of work to make, but it's been keeping me full until lunch, and its nice and creamy, so I enjoy eating it!
3 Tablespoons of Whole Grain Cream of Wheat (1pt.)
1 cup skim milk (2pts)
1/2 tsp. Splenda-Brown Sugar (0)
2 tsp. Olive Oil (2pts)
I just follow the directions on the box and then add the oil and Splenda, and stir it in really well. I buy the light olive oil, so I don't get an olive-y taste.
I was struggling to get all my milks and my oil in, and this is a great way. I'm sure you could mix fruit in too. Let me know if any of you try it, or if you have a variation!
Also, sometimes I make it the night before, and refrigerate it. I microwave it the next morning and stir it really good, and it tastes about the same. I find the microwave cook method tends to leave my cereal lumpy, so I make it on the stove.
