Recently someone posted in my LJ a lovely graffitied picture of myself.

darkkisses took it apon herself to destroy property that was ofcorse not hers and hacked copyright laws to edit the picture on my user info not only is she altering property that is not hers, but this can also be considered a hate crime and I had offended her in no way to provok this.

I'm not going to do anything about it because If anyone is ignorant tis she and you cant educate the ignorant.

I'd say I define patriotism by what it is; A love for ones country. I wouldn't classify myself as patriotic to America, but the idea of America. Meaning the government today is pushing the American Democracy to almost what could be a theocracy of mainstream oligarchy.

Since the political campaigns are supported by large industrial corporations I think that the American election is an impoverished way for the American people to think they are actually making a difference when in fact it's the proud supporters (CNN, Boeing, Microsoft) and those who pay major dues to in particular political parties that are making a influential difference. It's not the people who are voting for our president, but the electoral college that takes the peoples general vote and then decides whether or not the state had voted for candidate A or B. (which because the electoral college is made up of people and their votes count as well with a Democratic vote of 63%+ in that house say majority being republican they can flop the vote to say bush won, when the peoples vote could have been a majority rule for Kerry)

Back to patriotism of the idea of America a democracy is a government by the people, the common people, to enforce the principles of respect for an individual within a community. To have political power or to take the role of a president in fact requires no college degree, war experience, let alone being able to read. Though because of Americas egotistical ideals of what they look for in a leader; that is what people look for. They look for the man who went to Harvard and ran through mine fields in the war of 19 digity-three. As times have progressed the meaning of Democracy has changed. Now there is such a thing as social equality added when humanitarian and civil acts came to defend the Negro population, which soon other races protested to be fit for them as well. In the American Democracy I wish to see surface again one day I would like people not devoted to our country, but the culture of our country. People once again will benefit from acting independently with returning jobs and other American industrial products such as vehicles, produce, clothing, etc. and emphasizing more national goals then international. I am unsure whether or not I answered you question though just started flowing and my fingers began to type, but I guess that is my overall opinion.

I don't know where exactly I was going with this and how it relates to hating other people other then the fact that I hate people who are stupid enough to believe todays democracy is doing anything good for them
