This is a community for unsent letters. The letters can be to anyone or anything. They can serious, frivolous, whatever; it's up to you. It's also okay if you send the send the letters.

Rules:
  1. Letters only: Since this is, after all, a community for unsent letters, posts to the community must be in the form of a letter. (Comments, however, do not have to be in the form of a letter.)
  2. No spam: Whether it’s in letter form or not, advertising or promoting of any kind is not allowed. Spam once, banned forever.
  3. Be nice: This basically means no harassing anybody and no racism, sexism, homophobia, or other such derogatory things.
  4. No rich text: Italics, boldface, blockquotes, and the like are fine, but please don't color your posts or change the font face; it makes our layout look bad, not to mention our members' friends lists.
  5. Use proper spelling and grammar: We’re by no means spelling or grammar nazis, but try to have good spelling and grammar. That means no netspeak (ex: lololol im s03 totallie kewel guyz asl!!1!1) unless your tongue is firmly implanted in your cheek.
  6. Be a community: This is a community. Try to comment on other’s letters once in a while. The people here are really nice; they won’t bite, and you might even make a new friend.
Ideas:
  1. Anonymous letters: If you don't want to reveal the recipient of your letter, you can always use "Dear You" or "Dear __?__".
  2. Recipient unknown: If you don't know who to address your letter to, try using "Dear World", "Dear Anyone", or "Dear Friend". This idea was inspired by The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
