Song lyric: So so many...but here are a few:
"...And as she sits upon her place
her innocence laid on her face
from all atop the parapets blow a multitude of coronets
melodies rhapsodical and fair
and all our hearts afire
the sky ablaze with cannon fire
we all raise our voices to the air
to the air..."- The Decemberists 'The Infanta'
"Now I'm staring at the sun, waiting for it to explode
Because a day is gonna come, don't know when but it will come
And we'll finally know the way out of here
And I'll throw away this wrinkled map
And my chart of stars and compass, cracked
And I'll climb that tree all wet with sap to avoid the hungry beasts below I'll cut out my lover's tongue and sing of a graveyard gray and a garden green
And we won't have to worry no more
No we won't have to wonder again
About how this song or story ends
About how this song and story will end"- Bright Eyes 'From a balance beam'
" I am a poem heeding hyper-distillation
I've got no room for a lie so verbose
I'm looking out over my whole human family
and I'm raising my glass in a toast
here's to our last drink of fossil fuels
let us vow to get off of this sauce
shoo away the swarms of commuter planes
and find that train ticket we lost
cuz once upon a time the line followed the river
and peeked into all the backyards
and the laundry was waving
the graffiti was teasing us
from brick walls and bridges
we were rolling over ridges
I dream of touring like Duke Ellington
in my own railroad car"- Ani Di Franco 'Self Evident"
What was the first "emo" band you fell in love with? Taking Back Sunday in middle school (before John Nolan left.) I loved the album, Tell all your friends. I was like one of those histrionic girls obsessed with N*Sync. I had an ebay stiched tote bag, and lyrics scribbled all acorss my binder haha
What was last show you went to? Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, Whispertown 2000 sold me a shirt!
How would you define the term "emo"? I think there are many sub-genres and waves of emo. Just emotional punk music as what it started as...then it started to carry on with different styles of alternative.
How did you find out about this community? I was trotting about something vicinty related pretty much
What does rule number 10 say? No mirror picture, got you.

THIS OR THAT
Google or Yahoo? Google.
Kool-aid or Capri Sun? Koolaid hands down. Does Capri Sun's mascot have a sultry 70s soul-esque
voice? I didn't think so.
Right-wing nut job or liberal wiener? Green Party Hippie Fag with a touch of Liberal Wiener
