Yes, the Louisville show was great... Dani and I waited in line from about 1:00 on, so, we got to know the people we were in line with before going in at about 6:30 or 7... met a couple other girls from the board too, neat experience... come to find out the whole waiting in line ordeal was rather unnecessary, because, they opened all 3 sets of doors to the gardens rather than just the center set we started the line at, the locals had an advantage having already known this... regardless, we still got a spot right on the rail... I stood directly in line with Jasin's mic stand.
Alter Bridge up first, my first AB show... pretty good stuff, I would go see them again... then Shinedown took the stage... they played Fly From The Inside, Left Out, Burning Bright, .45 and Simple Man from the first album, Heros, Save Me, I Dare You and Yer Majesty from Us And Them(not really in that order)... the boys seemed in much better spirits than the off-dates, rather glad to be back on the road I take it, and as always, Brent made SURE he had the attention of EVERYONE... even calling out the people in the stands with something to the effect of "you came to a rock show to release your emotions, not to be confined to a chair!" after dividing the pit and telling them to look at the stands on their side of the floor... he had everyone in the stands on their feet.
We left before 3DD took the stage in hopes of the chance to say hi to the guys... success! We went out to where we'd discovered the buses earlier in the day. Jasin came out first and talked for a bit, then Brad, then Barry... we got pictures with all of them, provided they come out, I'll post links when we get them developed. Brent never did come out, Barry offered the suggestion that "he's probably on one of the 3 Doors buses" but all in all, still a good night...
D and I now have hopes of possibly making the Chattanooga, TN show, in which Silvertide plays rather than Alter Bridge... I'll post back with any developments on that, anyone else here possibly to be at that date?
Until next time...
