love theme

I figured I would pick up someone's suggestion of a love theme. Here are two of my recent favorites:

"What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life -- to strengthen each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of the last parting?" -- George Eliot, from Adam Bede

"And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course." (the source for this one escapes me at the moment)

(no subject)

"A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much
knowledge that is idle."

Kahlil Gibran.

"Kill a man one is a murderer; kill a million, a conqueror; kill them
all, a God."

Jean Rostand.
