Baby nicknames [Sep. 3rd, 2012|06:08 pm]
The #1 Pregnant Community

What are the nicknames you've heard for the baby while pregnant?

For example I've heard:
Baby bun/bun in the oven
One friend called the baby little x (cause that was the only chromosome he knew the baby had)

I'm just curious. What have you heard, what did you call your baby while pregnant or what do you plan on calling it?

My cousin called her baby "Button" because that's what size the doctor said he was at their first appointment. I've come across a lot of size-related nicknames on Babycenter, mostly the names of fruits and vegetables. I've never nicknamed my own babies, though.

I'm only 7 weeks in, and have already called it a bunch of different things...cause I come up with nicknames for everything :-P
*The Wee Little Parasite
*Poppy seed

And probably others I've already forgotten :-) And others sure to come in the future :-)

We called ours "grublings." Because once upon a time, a friend said something to me about how he liked me, but "not like I want you to incubate my grublings or anything."

So "incubating the grublings" became kind of the phrase. Our twins are almost three, and we still call them grublings.

I also called the new one "baby x" for the same reason you listed above.
