Hi guys! Have you heard of this band? Van Canto. They did an excellent Nightwish cover of Wishmaster. The entire song is an acapella, except for the drums.

A Technical Question
So ... I'm kind of curious. Does anyone here know for certain whether Jukka uses a click track when playing live? I'm guessing he must for some of the crazy stuff that happens in Nightwish tunes.
Speculation?
Anybody here know when we can expect a new album? I'm gettin' a little itchy.

Two announcements

Second, there are still tickets available for Progpower USA. Nightwish made their US debut at this fest in Sept of 2003.
If you happen to live near Atlanta or can afford the trip, it's the best concert experience you can have as a fan of power and/or progressive music without traveling overseas. Diablo Swing Orchestra will be making their US debut with no other planned stops.

Hey, everybody. I hope this is cool with everyone since I'm a longtime commenter and occasional poster here.
So I started a non-LJ blog recently to kind of talk about musical stuff. My latest post is about how and why I started listening to Nightwish, and a brief primer for people who don't know much about them, if anything.
Most of my posts are related to my own musical efforts, funny stories about gigging, gear (not often, 'cause that can get boring for the reader) and the whole creative process. I welcome any ideas for content - if you have any technical suggestions, you'll have to talk down to me. I'm pretty much at the limit of my CSS and HTML abilities!
