Brick Walls

First and foremost:

Robert Christie

My great-grandfather (my dads dads dad...make sense?), allegedly from Cook County or Rock Island (i've been told both) Illinois. I estimate his year of birth as being between 1900-1914, as my grandfather was born in 1932. I know he was *not* legally married to my great-grandmother, Marie Trowbridge. That's all I've got to work with.

Other brick walls:

Clarence Oliver Hough

My great-grandfather as well (my dads moms dad). This one is tough because Clarence was adopted, and I'd like his "real" ancestory. Clarence was born in 1909 and died in 1992 in Lawton, Oklahoma. I've found him several times in census records, but had no luck finding his parents.

Josephine Hooker

Clarences wife and my great grandmother. Born in 1914 and died in 1996. Her parents names are allegedly Telia Brown and Pat Hooker, though I cannot confirm this, and my dad thinks Pat wasn't his real first name. Ugh. I need to find her parents.

Margaret Crowfoot

My great-great grandmother (my moms dads moms mom). Apparently half-native (aboriginal, indian...whatever word you use!), from Leeds, England. I have found her parents names to be John Crowfoot and Hannah Rawson, but I am not 100% sure this is correct. What I know for sure is that Margaret was born in 1838, married David Strachan and had a daughter named Barbara Edina Strachan.

David Crockett Strachan

Hehehe, yep, I have a Davy Crockett! Unfortunately, I cannot get past him. He was born in Scotland, but resided in England once married. I know virtually nothing about him, though he was born in 1837 in Dundee, Scotland.

This is a picture of David Strachan and Margaret Crowfoot, circa 1899.
