Settings: The Cauldron, before curfew; after Gid meets with Dumbledore
I desperately wanted to burst through the door and make a grand entrance but I'm pretty sure I would've gotten weird looks from the customers and from Tom if I did. Instead, I headed for the bar and gave my former boss a grin and nod before plunking myself on one of the stools. I told him I got a job at Hogwarts. I'm the new Arithmancy professor. Of course, Tom was happy for me. I knew he would, after all, he was like a dad to me. He knew me so well.
After a while, a tall frosty flask in my hand, I looked around for the first time since I entered and realized that the Cauldron, although bustling as usual, wasn't as...cheerful (for lack of a better word) as it used to be. Of course it wouldn't be, I sighed into my mug. As I took a deep gulp, I caught my reflection in the glass. But I wasn't wearing a red shirt, that I knew. "Fabs!" I waved him over. Good, I can tell him the good news!
