Rooted in the Middle and Far East, and practiced throughout the world, bellydance is a sensuous expressive form of dance enjoyed by all, young and old, men, women and children. It is a low-impact workout that improves coordination, fosters positive body awareness, and tones the whole body from head to toe. Winter is coming

Argh!!! Damn winter is coming which, if you are an aqautic lover like me, shuts down all possibilities of fun. What do you do to strave winter boredom?

Beach parties?

Hey, I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a few things.

Me and a friend are planning to get a bunch of people together to go to the shore for a day.. beach party type of thing. Problem is, we're really not sure where to go! I was told that LBI is pretty nice, but the only places I've been in Jersey are Seaside Heights, Ocean Gate/Tom's River, North Wildwood, Cape May, and Ocean City. Since we'd be coming from a little bit north of Philly, we don't want to travel all the way to somewhere like Wildwood just for one day. So, what would be a nice beach for a bunch of teenagers/people in their early 20s to go to that isn't too terribly far?
Also, do any of you know if there's beaches that let you cook out? It'd be preferred, but I honestly don't think there's many beaches left that you can cook out on.

Any help is appreciated, thanks :)

beaches? confused..

Hello fellow Jersey Shore lovers!

I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but does anyone know what's going on with the beaches due to the state shutdown? I know on ABC news in they mentioned that State Beaches were closed - but that's all the information I saw.. I've been hearing different things - from they're completely shut down with police blocking them, to absolutely nothing changing.. is there anyone from New Jersey that could set me straight?

I'm in Reading, PA, but I'm going to Ocean City on the 16th, and hopefully it will all be resolved a lot sooner than that.. but I'm getting worried because an ocean-less trip would just be painful!

I’m Sandy. I’ve been around lj for a couple years but I am looking to add onto my friends list. A little about me? I am 19 and a sophomore in college. I like photography, reading, music, hanging out with friends and doing rather random things. (For more on me, read my user info.)

I am looking for new journals to read. I would prefer people who are 18 and up, although a mature 17 is good as well. I want to be able to relate to those who read and I’ve found I have trouble with people who are that much younger than I am. I want to have something in common with you so hopefully that works out. Make sure to comment on my Friends Only page and then add me so I know to add you. I hope to get to know some of you!

Hope this is not toooooooo random

I do not know if any of you know or like Constantine Maroulis of American Idol.

But, he is going to be performing at the House of Blues Atlantic City on December 22nd.

Those of us who cannot attend (like me, I am in Colorado) are trying to support him by looking for perhaps groups of people or donation opportunities to give tickets away to people who would like to attend the show.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, or know of a connection for?

email me.
