Equalize is looking for writers!! If you or anyone you know is interested in being either a columnist or just submitting a single piece of writing, please let me know. We are looking for pieces on action that you or people in your community are doing for LGBTQ rights, tutorials on different types of action (such as how to speak to your school or city council about LGBTQ issues, how to organize a benefit show, ways to be a supportive ally, etc.), articles on LGBTQ issues, interviews with bands, or any other ideas you might have.
Equalize is a new LGBTQ rights website that should be up within the next month. It's for youth and young adults who want to be more active in pushing for equal rights in their communities, but also with a focus on the music scene, such as promoting at shows, getting artists to speak out about equal rights, and having benefit shows.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to submit something. You don't need to be queer, we're actually looking for a lot of help from allies as well as people within the LGBTQ community.
cross-posted to a few places, please spread this around!
