Entering the Library

[Continued from here]

As Jeryline's sarcastic response to John's blunt reply washed over him just as quickly as it'd been said, he listened in on her suggestion to get out of the rain. Indeed that seemed like a good plan. Considering that he lived in LA and carrying an umbrella this time of the year was a rare item to have. Besides, John never carried one anyway, no matter what time of the year it was. It wasn't as if he'd cared what a little rain would do to his clothes. Still, the constant falling of rain on his body, when it'd been out all night, was beginning to seep into him and chills of cold cascaded across his body. A warm bath seemed to be the most suitable thing to do from causing a cold, but in this place, it was unlikely he'd even have time.

Upon listening to Jeryline explain that she too had come across demons, John couldn't help but feel relieved that he'd come across a group of people who knew what John had been struggling with. But of course, any religious person would believe that. Another demon was here, and a much higher one at that it seemed. Balthazar? No, someone else. Either way, he was breaking the code and John would see to it that he wouldn't do so ever again. There were dire consequences in this deserted town, but what's a little fun in deporting a demon back to hell going to do to change that? Still, he'd need to find that son of a bitch who'd possessed him and seek his own revenge. He knew what he was up against and once regained strength; he'd seek that demon out.

As they began to walk toward the library, like John even obligated not to go, he listened in on Jeryline explain to the younger English fellow about the concept of demons and their intent. More or less, her explanation of them fit his own definition quite well. And the mention of zombies weren't that bizarre either. Midnite had been able to conjure up the dead on many occasions, more or less under his control even, but then there were times when he'd come to various cities and faced the 'walking dead' wrecking havoc on the townspeople.

[Open to; Jeryline, Mina, Warlock and Shaun. Or anyone else heading toward the Library.]
