fester inside of us,
grow as uncontrolled weeds
around our hearts
They seep out -
unexpected poison sap
from our lips and eyes
They dissolve us
from the inside
until our souls are stone
Love unspoken
is love lost
Anger unchained
grows from a single seed of dischord
Hate unchallenged,
unspoken to ourselves
lies dormant, until we speak to it -
so we may banish it from our hearts
Despair unseen
wraps us in its chains
until our wings can flap no more
Speak your love, when you feel it!
Face your anger, when you see it.
Love your hate, when it hates you.
Chase your despair, but do not follow it.
