Hi all, I'm new here and hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, but I enjoyed last night's game so much that I wanted to initiate a discussion with a few observations.
Have you ever wondered what Thiago's favorite movie is? Who do you think is Bartra's idol? Does Álvaro Vázquez know who Bartra's idol is? Who is Villa's best friend at Barça? Ever asked yourself who is more popular with the girls, whether it's Bartra or Álvaro? What does the title to this post mean? Why are the OPs wondering what air is, what life is? and are posting from the grave?
EXCLUSIVE: DAVID VILLA AND LEO MESSI HATE EACH OTHER
FC Barcelona just released a statement that they're going to sell these two players, as their animosity towards each other is disrupting the feeling of camaraderie in the changing room. On the list of footballers who might replace the two rogues there are names that will make us forget Messi and Villa very soon, some informers say: the names will not be disclosed until the next press conference, but our anonymous sources say players of the caliber of Alexander Hleb might be brought back. Culés will surely rejoice at this wonderful piece of news! After all, who will mourn the loss of such a pigheaded, selfish player such as Leo Messi? Don't believe us? Watch the last interview Messi has given to Barça TV, and see for yourselves.
David Villa (Tuilla, Asturias; 1981) came to Barcelona a year ago and reinvented himself as a striker. He stopped being center forward and learned to play on the left side, in Leo Messi’s shadow. He is the top goalscorer for the Spain NT (49 goals) and tomorrow’s game against Scotland will be his 80th with La Roja.
There are some players who don't need a formal introduction and Xavi Hernández is one of them. He's the best midfielder in the world and the player who played more games in the history of Barcelona.
is this picspam in order of time? no. in order of hotness? nu-huh. in order of hipsternes? wrong again. it's in order of colours, because we all know in this club we care about fashion sense.
DISCLAIMER: so, this post is so complete there's even a video. Problem? The damn embed code included some sort of autoplay. Turn your volume down because i couldn't find a way to make it stop. Sorry. :/

By Matthias Krug Consider a world without Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
It is hard to imagine, but with the exception of Real Madrid supporters, millions of football fans around the planet should be eternally thankful to one Catalan of whom they have probably never heard.
Josep Colomer is the man credited with the discovery some 10 years ago - in Rosario, Argentina - of a 13-year-old youngster who would go on to rule world football.
On Monday afternoon, David Villa gave his first press conference since he started training as a Barça player. He revealed that he’s itching to get out on the pitch and put himself at Guardiola’s disposal for the return leg of the Super Cup.
Next Saturday, when the Camp Nou hosts the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup, it’ll be exactly three months since Villa put pen to paper on the deal which brought him to FC Barcelona. It’s been a long wait and the Spanish international striker can’t wait to compete for his new club. However, with just a few days training under his belt he knows that he can’t afford to overstretch himself. As he told the assembled reporters: “It’ll be a long season”. Debut still a doubt
Villa, along with the rest of his international team-mates that had to delay their return to training, has still not caught up with the rest of the squad in terms of match fitness: “We’ve got a week ahead of us to train. We’ve only just started but I’ll try and get fit for the manager as soon as possible. “I’m really keen to compete at 100%, to train and to get moving on this new stage of my career”.
A fight back is possible Villa is convinced Barça are good enough to overturn the deficit from the first leg of the Super Cup: “It was an unfavourable result but Barça have made a thousand comebacks like this. I believe we can turn the tie around. We’ve played half a final and the score is against us. But the other half is in the Camp Nou, in front of the Barça fans, fans who want a fight back, and Barça is a team that can overcome that score line, not just against Sevilla but against any team in the world”. No goal targets
David Villa is a bit too superstitious to set himself a goal target for the season: “I hope that with work and the help of my team-mates, I can score as many goals as possible, to the benefit of Barça.”
Asked if he can play in any other position apart from centre forward, Villa explained: “I can perform pretty well out on the left. I’m aware of my team-mates and the positions I can play in to help the team”. Finally, he assured reporters that he would be completely “compatible” with Ibrahimovic.
David Villa could not hide his excitement as he was presented as a new player of FC Barcelona on Friday morning and revealed his desire to follow in the footsteps of his heroes Quini and Luis Enrique.
