Middle Name Question-
Okay, so I'm pregnant with #3, a girl. My first two are:
Eleanor Jane (Jane's my mom's name, we call my daughter Nora for short)
Graham Dyer (Dyer is a family name)
Our front runner for #3 is Alice. I want the middle name to be Rae- my best friend is a Rachel who goes by Rae. She HATES her full first name. My husband wants the baby's middle name to be Rachel, since he's tired of one syllable middle names, and he's afraid it'll sound too country... sort of like a Sally-Mae or Peggy-Sue. I think it's silly to name a baby after someone by giving it the name they hate.
What do you think?
What should we go with?

Hello! I'm the person about to begin writing a novel. My main character's name (as of now) is Echo. I don't fully have a plot set up, but I have some ideas here and there. I'm the type of person that when writing, I have to have a picture of what the person looks like, to go along with the character. So here's where I need your help. I have a picture of a girl (Echo's best friend) and a picture of a guy (Echo's love interest), but I don't have names to go along with them. So help me out with names? I'll add their pictures behind a cut so you can see what I'm trying to work with. These characters are gonna be seniors in high school/college freshmen (I'm not sure yet).

Anyone have a possible middle name for Scarlett?
I was thinking of something like Rain. Or Rayne. Or any of the other possible spelling possibilities.
'preciate it :)

So as I'm sitting here trying to think of baby names that are unique, but not "uneek" and something thats not overly used like Aiden, Hayden, Brayden, etc. or Madison. or Emma or something like that...
I didnt even remember that my own name is pretty different, and while I hated it when I was younger cuz I wanted a name like Ashley or something that everyone else had...
I've grown to really love it. So...not saying any of you would ever like it or use it, but just in case I'll post it. (My first name, and middle name.)
People call me "Deni" for short.
I actually think its kinda pretty..and its not something you hear often. People are always like "wow, its spelt with an E? thats really pretty! I love it!"
so yep ♥
If you like it, thats fine...if you don't thats fine too. Just thought I'd share it. Current Mood: content

New school, new people, new names.
look like "Uh-lee-shuh"?
It's actually "Eh-lie-shzuh". I felt so bad calling him Alisha.
new member. dying to share and discuss
Maybe pregnant. But planning for future babies. :)
Thomas Spencer is the name I am obsessed with. :)
My mom's name is Tommi, so the first name would be after her. Spencer would be after Princess Diana, but no one else would have to know that. I'm just weird like that.
Dying for feedback!!

The last name on both names would be Cook, if that helps at all.
Which middle name do you like better with Caden?
What do you think of the name Samantha Hope?
I don't love it, but it's alright.

Hello all, I'm not pregnany at the moment but plan to be relatively soon. I always knew that if it was a boy, it'd be Gavin, but as for a girl . . . .
I was looking around and found this one name - Jace
As I found it, it was a girl's name, which means Beautiful, but I have also seen it used as a guys name (coming from Jason, etc.)
What do you guys think? I love it, and I don't know why

Do you think about initials when making up names?
Like, would you name your child Savannah Elizabeth Xaviar without considering her initials? Because if you didn't - that's just mean!
I know a family who name all of their sons A. A. Smith* - the fourth generation of A. A. Smiths!! The latest generation has had Andrew Alistair, Alexander Ashton and Adrian Ackley. Crazy!!
What do you think of parents naming their children after them?
For example, I have a friend (John) who shares the same name as his father (John). It gets confusing, especially because there are times when we are talking about both of them! Young John is the eldest son, and has one younger brother. It always makes me wonder how his brother (Oliver) feels.
I also have an uncle (Peter) who was named such because his mother died from complications when having him and I'm told they were too distressed to think of a name for him so he got his father's name (Peter). Uncle Pete is the youngest of 4 sons.
My boyfriend's name (Aaron) is similar to his mother's name (Sharon) and if many years down the road if we have children would it be mean to name one of them Jaron?

ok so ladies--- what do you do when you finally start narrowing down your list of names and then your SO turns down almost every single one of them???
Every time i start to fall in love with a name he's like "no"
I mean I feel like i should be able to name one boy and one girl anything i want b/c i compromised and said the first boy and girl are names he and HIS family like....
I like them ....now.. but i would have NEVER chosen these names on my own... none of them were even on my list---ever!!!

I have loved the name Ginger since i was 3years old due to my best friend at the time (well only friend hehe) Anyways I have stillloved it to this day and really want to use it. When i say the name i think of Ginger Rogers... but most people seem to think of a stirpper or something, which saddens me greatly...
maybe i'll use it for a middle name...
what do you think???
