Favorite movies (3+): Slacker, Gummo, American Psycho, the Usual Suspects, Barton Fink
Best directed movie: Slacker (not SlackerS, mind you. Slacker is the one directed by Richard Linklater)
Best acting performance: the best acting is the kind that doesn't jump out at you. so i don't really know.
Favorite actor/actress (3+): eh, sort of the same as above, but anyway...Steve Buscemi, Kevin Spacey, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh
Best soundtrack: the best i can think of off the top of my head is Clueless
Best movie based on a book: American Psycho
Little known fact pertaining to film: the worst large-production movie of all time is The Apple. The worst movie of all time, period, is The Room. I know these things. Look them up on imdb.com

Favorite bands (3+): Deerhoof, Sonic Youth, Lightning Bolt, Portishead
Best pop band/album: Blondie
Best rap group/album: i'd be lying if i said i knew much of anything about rap. i guess Ludacris is alright?
Best metal band/album: anything by Dio
Best hard/grind/noise/mathcore band/album: Sonic Youth "Washing Machine"
Best indie band/album: Kait0
Best classic rock band/album: Velvet Underground
Little known fact pertaining to music: Lightning Bolt is a two-piece, really loud but very precise noise band consisting of a drummer and a bassist. the bassist manipulates his sound through several distortion pedals to create crushingly intense sounds with only 3 strings. and the drummer sings garbled lyrics through the recieving end of a telephone. it is awesome.

Favorite books (3+): Breakfast of Champions, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72, Catcher in the Rye
Best non fiction author/book: Hunter Thompson
Best fiction author/book: Kurt Vonnegut
Best historical non fiction book: Fear and Loathing...
Best sci-fi book: ehhh not much into sci fi
Best instructional book: The What's Happening to My Body Book for Boys, awkwardly given to me at the age of 10 by my dads new agey friend
Little know fact pertaining to books: ahhh i don't know!

Party you align yourself with most: no American party, really. perhaps the Socialists. but really i identify with the liberal democrats of UK or some random Social Democratic party in most European countries
How do you feel about abortion: the more the better
Gay marriages: i'm totally for it, but all you really need to do is read the fourteenth amendment. its pretty much laid out as a requisite right there.
Rascism: is everywhere. from the varying penalties for cocaine posession here to mass genocide in the third world
Our "war on terrorism": duh, stupid. stop giving money to one terrorist group to fight another one
War in general: i guess sometimes necessary, but if there could be actual looking ahead at consequences of actions by our leaders, maybe we wouldn't be dragged into new wars all the time.

You know, earlier, I replied to someone's application...that I'd never given anyone a yes, in the history of my membership of this community, and that it didn't appear as if she stood any sort of chance at changing that.

In retrospect, I'm glad I worded it that way, and avoided using "it doesn't appear as if today is the day in which this changes," because I am indeed giving you the most unecessarily verbose yes ever.
