Hey! I recently joined this community and I just wanna say that the Music are absolutely kick ass live. I mean really. I love it when Rob dances and sways his long hair back and forth. Such energy! I went to go see them with a couple of friends on March 18th, 2005 at the Meridian in Houston, Texas. [The Meridian is a very small indie club that practicaly no one in Houston knows about.]Anyways, I was totally blown away. Afterwards, I got Rob, Adam, and Phil to sign a t-shirt I bought. We couldn't find Stuart; I was so upset. Adam and I talked awhile, while he signed a poster and the set list for me. He seemed really cool. Down-to-earth. They all did. Not too wrapped up in the fame. I like that.

Hey everyone! I just joined this community and I felt the need to post asap and tell you my story.
I'm a fairly spontanious person, and after seeing The Music and Kasabian in my hometown (detroit) I decided once was not enough. So my buddy Shea and I made the 10 minute decision to hopped in my car 4 hours before the chicago show and go see them again. But twice was not enough, so seeing as this last week was our spring break, we drove across the US, made a pit stop in colorado to visit a friend, and ended up in Portland, Oregon to see them for the third time!!

It was absolutly a great show, and we got to be right front in center pressed up agains the guard rail.
I was wondering though if anyone from here was also at that show? And if any of you had a set list, because Shea and I were puzzled as to why they didnt play "Breakin".

here are a couple pictures from the show that I took. The quality obviously isnt professional, but I think they turned out alright considering what I had to work with.Collapse )

chuo 89.1FM's "What The...?" welcomes the return of The Music this Monday from 3:30pm to 5pm!!! [12 Dec 2004|10:17am]

[ mood | excited ]

Kippax, Leeds - the birth of The Music. Not the birth of music. The Music - a rock quartet composed of Stuart Coleman (bass), Rob Harvey (vocals), Phil Jordan (drums) and Adam Nutter (guitar) who have shaken the music world up since the release of their self-titled debut album in 2002.

The Music</a>

The Music have released their sophomore album, "Welcome To The North" this September and are coming to North America in support of it. Yet another masterful rock album, "North" compelled the L.A. Times to declare it "a grand sound that mixes Zeppelin, Queen and U2 into an electronics-spiked sonic storm" and New Music Express to say "this is music made for stadiums. A happy meeting of dance music's communal vibe with rock's awesome bluster".

"Welcome To The North" will be heard live here in Ottawa on Wednesday, December 15 at Capital Music Hall (and soon, in a town near YOU!). Thus, we here at "What The...?" will devote a whole 90 minutes to the band's music - including four killer tracks from their new album, a few favourites from their last, and a handful of rarities and b-sides to complete the mix.

Not only that, but we also have some exclusive interview bits with Adam Nutter (courtesy of our good friend Anne-Marie, from CHUO 89.1FM's "Hop The Fence") to tie it all together.

And although this is our second feature on The Music, we'll only be spinning two songs that we played the last time around - there was much material that we didn't get to beforehand and, with the new album and interview, we can assure you that this will be another one not to miss.

Now open your mind this Monday from 3:30pm to 5pm (e.s.t.) and getaway with CHUO 89.1FM's "What The...?" - the only Radio With Multiple Personalities!!!

Please note that "What The...?" can also be heard on the web via chuo.fm
