Pro Football is like nuclear warfare. There are no winners, only survivors.

If you're attacking, you don't get as tired as when you're chasing.

I play the game, I play it smart, my energy comes from the heart. I use my head, I use my feet. WHY? because I'm 100% Athlete..

Hero's get remembered, but legends never die

Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That's what little girls are made of.

Don't be content with average because average is just as close to the bottom as it is to the top

You can either throw in the towel, or use it to wipe off your sweat.
Athletes are driven by commitment. To their sport. To themselves. To excellence itself. Commitment fuels the extra mile, the final set, the last quarter, the sprint to the line. Going on when the body begs to stop.

the only place you can win a lacrosse game is on the field. the only place you can lose it is in your hearts

If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?- Vince Lombardi

We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time.- Vince Lombardi

Men forget everything; women remember everything. That's why men need instant replays in sports. They've already forgotten what happened.- Rita Rudner

You teach me baseball and I'll teach you relativity...No we must not You will learn about relativity faster than I learn baseball.- Albert Einstein

To me, boxing is like a ballet, except there's no music, no choreography and the dancers hit each other.- Jack Handy

Baseball is 90% mental, the other half is physical.- Yogi Berra

Football combines two of the worst things in American life. It is violence punctuated by committee meetings.- George Will

Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalised for too many players on the field?- Jim Boulton

Most football teams are temperamental. That's 90% temper and 10% mental.- Doug Plank

she learned about life in a world of broken glass and blacktop. where nothing was given, especially to those trying to play a man's game, but she proved it was her game too. and from grade school, to high school, to college, she's shown us that even on a court one hundred feet long, there's no limit to how far you can go.

mostly quotes about cheerleading
Real cowgirls need more than an eight second ride

cheerleaders are the only humans that can fly

Somewhere behind the cheerleader youve become...
The hours of practice youve put in
& the coaches that have pushed you
is the little girl who fell in love with the sport
and never looked back
~cheer for her~

" When you feel the muscles in your shoulders straining, when your heart is beating two hundred times a minute, when your legs feel like they can't handle one more turn, and when each breath burns your lungs, that's when you know you have to push harder."

*Perfection isn’t requested it’s required*

7 days without cheerleading makes one weak

You say cheerleading isn’t a sport but it’s only a month into practices and my squads had more injuries than your football team had in all last year

The best feeling in the world is walking into an athletic atmosphere knowing that others are scared to death to compete against you

In all other sports if you miss the catch all you miss is the ball

I'd rather be a player with desire and heart and fire than a player with all the talent in the world. I've seen so many guys with talent who should be here, but they're not, because they didn't have the heart or the desire

There's no I in T-E-A-M...but there is M-E-A-T, as in, the other team's ass is about to go through the meat grinder, bitch

when we add up all those inches
that's going to make the fucking difference
between WINNING and LOSING
between LIVING and DYING.

Dance with your heart
Dance what you feel
Then you will know if the dancer is real

Dancers are the athletes of God

We dance for laughter, we dance for tears, we dance for madness, we dance for fears, we dance for hopes, we dance for screams, we are the dancers, we create the dreams

Dancers aren't made of their technique, but their passion."

Cheerleading is a way of life, shared by a chosen few,
It is ...working as a unit in everything you do.

Cheerleading is a rivalry, the competition makes you strong,
It is sharing secrets and tears, learning to get along.

Cheerleading is that ongoing drive to be the very best,
It is patience, perseverance, and very little rest.

Cheerleading is having poise and charm with every word you say,
It is total dedication twenty-four hours a day.

It is always being ready with encouragement and a ...smile,
Cheerleading is your chance to express your individual style.

Cheerleading is reaching out to comfort a sister who is sad,
It is defending each other in good times and the bad.

Cheerleading is a talent to be able to shine on cue,
It is hiding the pain and anguish that if only half the people knew.

Cheerleaders, after all, are real people that sometimes get down,
but when they're in the spotlight, they must never put on a frown.

Cheerleaders are actresses always ready to go,
That is why it's important for all the world to know.

Not every girl can be a cheerleader, it takes a special kind,
Cheerleaders are full of life and a little bit out of their mind.

♥To Every Cheerleader♥

There are little eyes upon you and they're
watching night and day;

There are little ears that quickly take in every
word you say;

There are little hands all eager to do anything to do

And the little girl who's dreaming of the day she'll
be like you.

You're the little girl's idol;

You're the wisest of the wise,

In her little mind about you no suspicions ever rise;

She believed in you devoutly,

Holds that all you say and do she will say and do, in
your way when she's grown-up like you.

There's a wide eyed little girl who believes you're
always right,

And her ears are always open, and she watches
day and night!

You are setting an example every day in all you do.

For the little girl who's waiting, to grow up,
and be like you.

It's the glimmer of hope when times are tough;
It's a bit more patience when we've had enough.

It's that thoughtful ...smile when one's desperately needed,
It's that extra push, a reason why we've succeeded.

This part of our personality which never fails to strive,
Is the creator of our goals and the source of our drive.

We are enthused about life, optimistic about what's to be,
Because the cheerleader inside looks for the best of life you see.

It's the strong support upon which you stand,
It emerges as a friend to lend you a hand.

Where does this light come from, where does the ray start?
It shines in your mind, but ignites in your heart.

The confidence to try, the will to believe,
The acceptance of failure and the way to achieve.

It's very close by, its something we trust.
It's the fighter inside, it's the cheerleader within us.

I used to think I was never good enough

I used to think I could never do anything

I used to think that cheerleaders were bimbos

nothing but dumb blondes

till i became one that is

why is the perception of a cheerleader

tall, blonde, big ...breasts, and perky

I am depressed, short, red haired,

yet i am a cheerleader

and damn proud of it.
