past, present, future.

Girls like me are everywhere.
We give and give and give. (and forgive)
We ask for nothing in return except for love and kindness.
Maybe a shoulder to cry on.
Maybe a flower or a kiss on the nose.
We dream of chivalry; someone to sweep us off our feet.
(and KEEP us lifted, not drop us once reality sets in).
Girls like me, we get trampled on.
The people we date lie to us, use us, ditch us.
We get used to shit like this.

I can't explain why.

Girls like me deserve better.
We deserve to be treated like queens.
Fought for, even.
Just because we give, doesn't mean all you can do is take.
Love, like- relationships; they work when two people come together.
We're supposed to meet half way.
50/50
NOT 60/40 or 80/20.

Girls like me, stand up for yourselves.
Find someone who loves you.
Someone who gives love like you do.
You deserve better!
Never EVER forget it.

Just...I get to the bottom of me and I just find someone who is so mean. Because I had to be mean. But why did it have to be me?
