The rest of the week had been much the same as Wednesday evening. Nothing concrete to base this - uneasy feeling on, but Harry felt like he was running in place when he intended to jog around the block. Daphne had sent another owl stating she couldn't get away from work because of another emergency and Harry had almost gone over there during the day to see exactly what she was dealing with.
You do that - try and help and it'll be the loan thing all over again.
Walking into the restaurant he greeted Becky quietly while she was on her way out and asked her how the day had gone. If whatever had kept Daphne there had been resolved in a satisfactory manner - then the hopes he had for the remainder of the night would go up. Becky's answer gave him pause and he bid her a good night before he slowly moved toward the closed office door and tapped lightly.
