The human was frankly mystifying to the wolf; there was no end to the power he could grasp, if he could just be convinced to do so.
In an effort to tempt the human into seeing sense, the wolf had prodded him into ... brushing up on certain areas of the Dark Arts. Not as satisfactory as tooth and claw, but the wolf had developed an appreciation of the weapons available to humans.

Remus passed quietly through the corridors, nodding here and there to what students remained to chat. Upon reaching his destination, his hand moved toward the doorknob, then stopped. The door should have been warded against intruders. Not Potter, not the elderly female, but no one else should have been able to get in ... and yet the threshold was as unprotected as a newborn babe.
Lupin opened the door slowly, wand in hand.
