AboutHello and welcome to the Zuko_Sokka community! ^_^ All fans of the pairing can join here to post their fic, art, music videos, etc. to express the love of Z/S!
Who
Sokka: a teenager from the southern water tribe who discovers with his sister, Katara, the avatar who had been missing for 100 years. Although he usually never trusts anyone upon first sight, if they do get in his good graces, Sokka will be a loyal friend. Unlike his sister, he was born with no waterbending or any other kind of bending. This doesn't stop him from not backing down from a fight though. Throughout the series, Sokka's also the comic relief in Aang's journey to master the four elements in order to defeat fire lord Ozai. However, being the comic relief isn't the only thing Sokka is to the show. He's also a great strategist, having taken up the position of keeping check on the maps and planning the invasion on the day of the black sun. He's also known to be a bit of a ladies man, having been very close to northern water tribe princess Yue, and Kyoshi warrior Suki. His relationship with Zuko has so far been full of enmity due to Sokka's anger and desire to exact revenge on the fire nation for their injustice towards the water tribe. Although, a glimmer of change might happen to that anger when the group decides to let Zuko join them in order to teach Aang firebending.
Zuko: As a fire nation prince, Zuko was raised with the belief that the fire nation was the better than any other nation. Unlike his sister, Azula, Zuko had a close relationship with his mother and uncle, but still desperate for his fathers approval. He was also never graced with his sisters talent in being perfect. One day in a war meeting, Zuko spoke out of turn after hearing a suggestion that he believed would hurt the fire nation. He was then challenged to an agni kai to which he soon realized, after he accepted, was against his father. Refusing to fight his own father, but defeated anyway, he was banished from the fire nation with a burn on his left eye to remind him of that day. Given the job to find the avatar in exchange for his return to the throne, Zuko spent three years searching, finding, and then chasing the avatar until the job was then given to Azula. Throughout the series, Zuko faces the trials most teenagers face as they grow up. Finding his own identity and what destiny he chooses are the most significant. For a short period, he decides to stay with his uncle and aid him in his tea shop in Ba Sing Se, living under the pretences as refugees. In this time, for the first time in a long time, he's happy. Unfortunately, with Azula capturing them, his anger is renewed, eventually leading him to side with his sister in defeating Aang. After returning to the fire nation and his throne, Zuko is still not happy no matter how hard he tries at having a normal life. His only consolation being his girlfriend, Mai, it's still not enough to untangle his confusion over what he should do now that he has the knowledge of being in the outside world and seeing the terror the fire nation caused. Even his imprisoned uncle won't speak to him until he tells him about his deep ties to Aang: his great grandfathers, Sozin and Ruku were best friends, the latter being the avatar of that time. Eventually, during the invasion, Zuko finally decides to leave the fire nation, and face his father. When he does this, he discovers that his once thought to be dead mother, might be alive. Hope renewed, he leaves with the intent to teach Aang firebending.
The Pairing
The two rarely ever had much of a real conversation seeing as they'd rather resort to fighting. There's still hope for a possible friendship after The Western Air Temple. While Sokka's weirded out over Zuko becoming a part of their group, Zuko has no enmity over him anymore, meaning...hope! lol
Why are they paired together? I don't know what other people think, but I personally like they idea of them together ^-^ besides being around the same age, they have a lot of similarities and very in depth personalities that's so much fun to play around with when writing fics about them ;)

I don't like having too many rules, so hopefully these will be the only ones.

2. No flaming, if you have a problem with this pairing you shouldn't even be here. If it's about criticizing, please do it...nicely. 'This sucks, it's a piece of crap' is not going to help anyone.
3. Advertising: I don't mind it, I just really hope it's not the only thing that'll be posted in the community.
4. Please put cuts behind your posts if it's video, art, fic, whatevs. Everything that's posted here must be about the pairing, it's not called Zuko_Sokka for nothing ^-^ I don't mind a different pairing on the side just as long as it starts and end with Z/S as the main pairing, choo gotz meh?
