What a gem of a find! Yes, it's old but I've never seen it :) Perhaps you haven't as well? Give it a look..

Stuntwoman Zoe Bell has joined the big-spending ad campaign for Telecom's XT Network.

"At one stage they showed two upcoming Telecom ads - both with Richard Hammond, one featuring NZ stuntwoman Zoë Bell and the other a jetsprint driver."

If anyone comes across video or pictures of ZB's TV ads please share! Thanks!

Thus far I've no idea if Ms. Bell has been nominated for anything. I believe they are doing another private party again this year. I *wish* they would at the very least do a public release of the list of 2009 nominees.

Anyhow, here's the breakdown so far:

Screening of nominees for the 2009 Taurus World Stunt Awards - 03-24-2009
The deadline to vote for the 2009 Taurus World Stunt Awards - 03-27-2009

I'm guessing the awards could be happening any time soon?

BTW, TWSA has this in their 'legal details' section:

"The Taurus World Stunt Awards makes no guarantee that the awards show will happen, that it will be broadcast, or that any particular performer, performance submission or clip will be included in the show or broadcast thereof."

So I'm guessing televised, public viewing will be a rare thing for the awards. It's too bad some channel like Spike or MTV can't sponsor the shows.

IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON THE NOMINEES OR IF ZB HAS BEEN NOMINATED THIS YEAR, PLEASE LET US KNOW!

Thanks

The exterior, built in a corner of the studio's backlot, fell to pieces in a one-take explosion, with stunt actress Zoe Bell diving out a window. The interior, built on a soundstage, was scorched by expertly contained fireballs that ripped through a theater built to period specifications just to be destroyed. (The studio's art department even found vintage movie-theater seats and restored them to pristine condition despite knowing their ultimate fate.)

I didn't know Zoe had such an active Fan Community!

Happy for her, she deserves it!

I like her very much and we had such a great time on Catwoman.

So there were no dummies nor special effects!... The fall is all real!
The only use of a dummy was for the landing of course!!

I don't remember precisely the number of takes we did with the descender.. I think it was like 2 or 3...
She did an amazing performance.. and as you can believe, it was very impressive to see it live!

I hope you will be satisfied by my answer...

All the best,
Pitof

Mr. Ramsey,

I am writing because I wanted to ask if Zoe Bell did stunts for your film, Blood And Bone? I saw the picture you put in your photo album of Zoe and yourself.
I think she's great!

Just wrote Ben Ramsey a note asking about ZB. I'll post if he responds.

I just recieved a response to an e-mail I shot off to Michael Zampelli, the photographer of the pics previously posted. I basically inquired if he knew whether or not Zoe was a returning skater or if she was new. I also asked if he knew why she was there and if he had spoken with her. This was what I got back:

"This was her first time there as far as I know. She had a little instruction on the flat concrete and then skated around the infield before joining the rest of the Derby Dolls on the banked track. I'm not positive but I have the feeling this might be related to the Drew Barrymore appearances at the recent games to scout for her first directorial debut, "Whip it", which is a movie about ...you guessed it, roller derby. I'm sure they will have some special scenes that need a top notch stunt double. ;)"

"I didn't talk to her. I wasn't even familiar with who she was but someone there was very excited that she was there so I knew something was up."

You can check out Michael Zampelli's flickr for more photos from the practice:[HERE]

Thanks Mr. Zampelli!

So, there's a possibility that Zoe may be prepping for a role or will be a stunt double in the film "Whip It". We'll keep on top of it.

Filming for "Whip It" begins Summer 2008 in Texas.

Zoë mentioned doing work on The Kingdom. I watched the movie last night and found at least one scene she did. I couldn't tell if she worked on any of the big crowd scenes, but in this one she plays a woman getting shot.

I also recommend seeing this movie to watch Jennifer Garner's fight scene at the end. Her stunt double, Shauna Duggins, does a great job, and the scene sells some really hard hits.

That's her, on the left.

At first I couldn't even tell it was her--the hair? )

The images don't quite get across the physicality required to fake getting mowed down by bullets; I really winced at this scene.

7. "Grindhouse" The dueling cars in Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof." No CGI here, just awesome stunt work as Zoe Bell hangs on to the hood for dear life. Bravo.

ZOE Bell peppers her speech with swear words and, as she puts it, falls on her bum for a living. But the gung ho stops there.

Asked how she pulled off one difficult stunt in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof, the Kiwi gets serious.

The stunt involved her slipping and sliding across the bonnet of a car doing 140km/h.

"I have to be careful how I answer this question because I don't want people trying that s--- at home," she says.
