Zoë Bell turns 31 today.
Happy birthday, Zoë.
I wish you the same joy that fans take in your work. And a personal memory: at the 2007 Xena convention in New York, you were sick with a cold, but you took the time to sign hundreds of autographs, and had a smile and a kind word for everyone in line. So as awesome as the con was for me, I hope your birthday is awesome times ten.
Also, birthday wishes at Crackle.com, and a haiku:
She slew for Uma,
Xena, Kill Bill and Death Proof
Not Aussie. Kiwi.

More details on Zoë's role in the upcoming Wesley Snipes feature Game of Death:
Game of Death focuses on a diplomat’s bodyguard (Snipes) injured during an assassination attempt. After the incident, everyone is taken to the hospital where this bodyguard meets a nurse played by Zoe Bell. Together they try to protect the diplomat from a gang of assassins led by Gary Daniels as a guy named Zander.

1) I'm kind of relieved Zoë isn't going to be one of the assassins, since this means she'll probably survive until the end.
2) What's the deal with the string of "death" projects? Death Proof, Angel of Death, Game of Death.

"The story of Game of Death will revolve around Snipes’ character, a politician’s bodyguard who must fend off five of the world’s top assassins. Grindhouse star Zoe Bell and Stargate: Atlantis‘ Robert Davi will co-star."

Filmnut has a really nice, long interview with Zoë here.
It starts out a little rough, but the actual interview is really nice. As usual, Zoë comes across as this lovely, charming woman who has a lot of professional integrity.

Zoë and Eve give a great audio interview. Full of swearing, so NSFW, but it sounds like it was an awesome time. The way she and Eve greet each other at the beginning is cute, in a fierce way.

Drew Barrymore was on Conan on Monday night, and Zoë was in the clip she showed to promote the movie.
Apologies to people outside the US, but it's on Hulu
It's only like five seconds, but it's a great five seconds. Whip It comes out this weekend!

"Hello,
A chapter of my PhD Dissertation for the NYU Cinema Studies Department is on Zoë Bell. A section of the chapter concerns fan activity. I have created a survey on this topic at the following address:
https://eee.uci.edu/survey/zoebell
I would truly appreciate it if you could lend your time and brain power to the survey.
The first three questions establish demographic (name, age, sex) and the questions that follow are specific to Zoë Bell. I have interviewed Zoë but my research cannot be completed without the valuable contributions of her fans.
Please help,
Best
