This community is dedicated to Zinedine Zidane, one of the greatest football/soccer players the football world has ever known. Arguably the best player of his generation (from the 90's until early-mid 00's) ... along with Ronaldo :P
If you're here it's because you're fan, but if you're new to the game and want to know more about this great player you can find information about him here.
Feel free to post any news or icons. Before you make your post, READ THIS NOTE. Anything goes as long as it's football or Zidane-related.
The only rules of this community are:
(1) No Zidane bashing! There's a difference between bashing and constructive criticism. While the former is not allowed, the latter actually is. After all Zizou is only human -- he puts on his socks one at a time and screws up occasionally, just like the rest of the world. Ultimately though, and to make things simpler, if you don't like him don't bother joining.
(2) No member bashing! If you have a personal problem with another member, confront them someplace else, via email, their personal LJ, etc.
(3) No off-topic posts! Yeah, it's understandable if the conversation eventually becomes off-topic. By this rule we pretty much mean no promoting of communities that have nothing to do with Zizou or football. Or posts about, say, Brad and Angelina breaking up or something. You know ... It'll only be allowed (in rare cases) if you've asked and have been given permission.
NOTE: We've had a problem with trolls insulting random members unprovoked. To address that, this community has moderated membership, meaning that the mod has to approve one's membership request (which we try to do as soon as we can ...). Trolls and their messages are banned/deleted accordingly.
