So, you like the Legend of Zelda, huh? Well, you're more than welcome to join! We've got a great community here, full of active members who'd love to help you out on that problem you're having in the Water Temple, or have a good-natured conversation about the timeline.

However, there have been a few problems in the past, and as much as I hate to actually be a moderator, I do have to put a few rules here. If you've got any questions or comments, please do feel free to drop me a line over at harmonious.

1. Please, stay on topic.
I know you know exactly what that means, but really, there have been incidences where people refuse to follow such an obvious rule. Your personal journal is where you should post questions about your love life (or possibly a relevant community.) but definitely not here. I will accept general Nintendo questions, but if it's literally has nothing to do with Zelda, it doesn't belong here, and that's that.
2. Please, don't start flame wars.
Another very obvious rule. I don't mind talking about controversial things, like whether or not people like the graphics in Windwaker, but if you feel the need to post about people being 'morons' or anything to that effect, just don't post it at all. If I find it, I'll delete it. And members, if you feel like you're being harassed by someone in this community, do feel free to let me know. I'll get rid of the comments/posts and ban the person. That really isn't acceptable, okay?
3. Put large images under an LJ cut!
I should hope this is also obvious. I realize that more people have cable than dialup these days, but let's try to respect those who aren't as lucky as you are, alrighty? Also, large images mess up some peoples' LJ layouts, which is just plain annoying. If it's over 200k, or larger than 300x300, please put it under a cut. Anyone who wants to see it will, I promise. I don't have the authority to edit your post and put it under an LJ cut for you, so if I ask you to, and you don't comply within a few days, I'll have to just delete your post. And I hate to do that! Oh, and, if you're not sure how to make an LJ cut, check this out. If you're still not sure, just refrain from posting images that large. Thanks.
4. Quizzes and memes are okay to post, but if you're going to reply with your results, do it in the original entry.
So, user number one finds a cool new Zelda quiz and posts it. User number two makes a new post with their results, and the chain continues. Eventually there are so many posts that it's rediculous. I hate to tell you, but most people don't care what your quiz results are, but those who do will be happy to click on the comments link and find out. Please, post your results in reply to one post, don't make a new one.
5. What moderator says, goes.
I try very hard to be fair and make this community a fun place to hang out, but sometimes I have to actually moderate, and not just play. If I delete your post, accept it and move on. If you post it again, I'll delete it again and ban you. If you make a new post whining about the fact that your post got deleted, I'll delete that, too. Although this is an open, friendly community, I still own and run it, and when I make a decision, I stick to it.
6. Put large media under a cut.
Unless they're LJ-icon sized (or smaller.) you will not post more than one image outside of a cut. Anything longer or wider than 300 pixels must go under a cut regardless, and THIS INCLUDES VIDEOS. Now that this is in the rules, I'm not giving you a warning; I'll comment letting you know that I'm deleting your entry and why, then just do it. Sorry, but this is getting ridiculous.
