Sorry about the lack of updates/activities in the community recently. The last special round was a failure due to the fact that I only received one set of topics. I think we'll just go back to doing regular exchange rounds or we can try something a bit different, like people posting prompts anonmyously? It's up to you guys, but if I don't hear anything from the community by this weekend, I'll set up a schedule for the next regular round.

Also, we're still missing three gifts from the last round. choukoumei and ordona had technical issues (broken tablet/missing pen), but I don't know about windbell. Please post those as soon as possible.

Even though we're still waiting for the last few people to submit their gift for Round 4, I think I'll go ahead and start the special round. This particular bonus round will be a bit different from the previous two special rounds. Unlike the previous specials, this time I ask everyone interested to submit three topics/prompts that you would either want to see or create. I will then post all the (anonymous) prompts, and those participating can pick and choose whatever topic(s) that looks interesting to him/her. You'll have one month to complete and submit your work. Unlike normal rounds, you do not need to sign up to participate, but if there's something you really want to see, please send in your ideas. As usual, this is a multimedia round.

If you signed up to participate in the current round and failed to submit something, you'll be on probation, which means you will not be able to participate in the normal rounds unless you do the following things: 1) you contribute something as a back up gift giver, 2) participate in a special round, which does not have assigned prompts. I do not really want to be a hard ass about this because I want to keep up the friendly, rather informal vibe of the group, but it would not be fair for everyone if some people don't give back. I'm ok with being late and stuff because most of us are procrastinators, but I do appreciated it if I'm given some advance warnings and if one's reason is valid.

Everyone's submission so far has been great! Deadline to post gifts is tomorrow, but because we still have about a third of the participants (myself included ^^;) who still need to submit something for round 4, I think I'll just extend the display week by another week so everyone can get his/her stuff in "on time." Please note now the last day to submit gifts for this round is Sunday, August 3. Good luck finishing!

Also, one person still needs to submit her work from round 3, so please get that in as well by 8/3 so the poor recipient can finally get her gift when she returns from her vacation.

Round 4 isn't over yet, but I'm already planning for the next round, which as promised will be a special round. It won't be exactly like the previous two special rounds though, but I'll write more about it later once we wrap up the current round. Next round will probably start around the middle of August.

Creator’s Notes: So yeah, I've never written crackfiction before. This isn't exactly my strong suit. However, I at least think it turned out alright. (Thank goodness!) I honestly think this would make a MUCH better comic instead of a fanfiction, but I think that the sheer contrast between Ganondorf and Zelda sells it this way too. Anyways, the premise is that Ganondorf has kidnaps Zelda and eagerly awaits Link's arrival, but this is far from your typical villain-kidnaps-princess story. When Ganondorf gets sick and tired of waiting, Zelda gets downright disturbed by his creepy behaviour and tells him he needs to find a hobby. What Ganondorf considers a hobby though disturbs the princess far more than she could have anticipated. Hilarity ensues. Film at 11.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. We are still in Japan at the moment (will be back home late tomorrow night). Display week starts today and you have until the July 29 to post your week. If you know you'll be late with your gift or can't finish your work, let me know as soon as possible.

Since we have many first time participants, I want to mention a couple of things to consider when posting. Please use the "Header for Posting Your Gift" form when you post your entry. If you want to include anything else not listed in the form, feel free to do so. Please put your work behind an LJ-cut. You can include a preview or thumbnail outside of the LJ-cut as long as it's spoiler free.

Here are a few things regarding images... Please no fake cuts because we want you to include your actual image in the post. If you need someone to host your image, there are several free picture hosting sites that you can use, or email your image and I'll upload it to my server.

Those who have accounts at Deviant Art can post a link to the image hosted at DA, but please have a copy of the image posted in this journal. This way people are not forced to go to DA if they don't want to go there.

nightrose83 is looking for a beta reader. If you can help her out or you yourself need a beta reader, please post in that entry.

Today is the last day for signing up to participate in Round 4. Because I'm totally jet lagged, I won't be doing anything until Monday so you have the whole weekend to send in your form if you're still interested in participating. So far we have sixteen people who signed up, and about half are first time participants so that should be interesting.

I started adding first time participants to the DA club list. If you are not in the club but want to join, you can reply in this thread or send a note to zeldaexchange.

Also, as you might have noticed, ordona recently posted in this LJ something about her OoT Marathon project that she's starting. I think it's a fun idea and please sign up if you're interested in participating in that.
