I've made a few important changes to the community:

1~Entries are moderated. This is because we've had a few none-icon posts and I don't want the community to start posting anything Zelda-related. There are other communitys better for those kind of posts.

2~I was finding it hard to keep track of members so from now on membership is open but you can't post icons/graphics here unless you have applied for posting access. Only a handful of people actually have done this, so more applications would be great. I am, however, going to be more picky than I was when I first began the community but I welcome everyone to apply!

3~I could do with a co-mod to take care of the comm when I'm away this summer. All you need to do is keep an eye on the application page and decide whether any applicants should be given posting access or not. If your interested in being a co-mod please fill in this little form:
1.Are you a mod or comod of any other communitys? 2.Do you make icons? If so, where? 3.How often are you on LJ?

Okay, so, November 21st (23rd for Americans) this year is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's 10th Anniversary.

10 years ago, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time broke records, topped sales charts, wowed critics, and of course--amazed the fans, and fans-to-be. While some of us (myself included) had played the Zelda games since long before then, for many Zelda fans, this was the first game they played, and for many others, this still stands as their favorite Zelda game.

I feel, and I'm sure many will agree with me, that if it were not for this game, the Zelda fandom would not be what it is today.

So, in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, I have a proposition for my fellow Zelda fan artists.

.THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME ART MARATHON.

The rules do not deviate from the popular sketch-a-day practice:

• Every participant uploads a single fan art--be it something as simple as a quick sketch or completed piece--every day in November.
  
• There is no rules on which character it is, as long as the character is present in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
  
• Original characters and crossovers are allowed, as long as it does not deviate too far from the goal of doing a Zelda tribute (this includes original interpretations of the existing characters).
  
• Anyone can participate. It doesn't matter your skill level, or how long you've liked the game, or even if, 10 years later, you still haven't beaten the game (some people, believe it or not, haven't). The point is: you're a fan, and that's what matters.
  
• If you cannot/feel you cannot participate every day in November, you are still more than welcome to participate. However, it'd be wonderful if all participants can make sure something is uploaded November 21st (or 23rd, whichever release date they prefer).
  
• I chose November because it held the majority of the release dates, however, if my friends in Europe would like to wait till December to do this--I'd still like you on the list.
  

There are no prizes, no contests, or any sort of competition. However, there will be a list that I will keep updated (and if enough people enjoy the idea, a LiveJournal community), especially if I am not watching you on DeviantART (if you have one) already, comment and let me know that you want to participate.
