The Shirota Yuu LJ Community
This is a LiveJournal fan community dedicated to the Japanese actor and singer, Yuu Shirota. It was created for fans from all around to get together and show our support for him.
Shirota is a former member of the Watanabe Entertainment Group, the D-BOYS, and has appeared in numerous television shows and movies. His most notable roles has been as Tuxedo Kamen in the Sailor Moon Musicals, Tezuka Kunimitsu in The Prince of Tennis musicals, and Kagurazaka Makoto in the Japenese dorama, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e. He has also released a CD album, Idol DVD, and a solo photobook.

Welcome to the Yuu Shirota LiveJournal community! Every fan is welcome here, so please do not hesitate to post entries and share the love. Let's try to support Shirota as much as we can, that means through any forms, like buying his merchandise or commenting on his blogs, even in fan fiction, fan art, media posts etc.
The community encourages posting, but for everyone's well being, there are a few rules that we would like all the members to be aware of.

Unfortunately posts or comments that do not follow these rules will be subjected to deletion.
Please do not post introductory entries as the community is not a chat board; however, if you really want to post an introductory entry then please provide a little something more with your post, like a news blurb on Shirota or new scans of Shirota.
All media-related posts must be friend-locked please. Examples of media posts would be posts containing scans, downloads of mp3s, songs, DVDs, music videos, clips, etc. Basically, any post containing media needs to be friend-locked.
Icon posts must have at least one icon to do with Shirota and they do not need to be friend-locked; Icon posts should always have a maximum of three icons and the rest under an LJ-cut or a fake LJ-cut. Icon posts that do not follow this rule will be deleted.
Please post all high resolution images of Shirota under an lj-cut. If posting personal pictures of Shirota, either from his personal blog, other D-Boys' blogs or your experience at a D-Boys event, to keep your entry friends-locked. And it's especially important that if you're going to post a picture that Shirota has posted on his own blog, to upload that picture onto your own hosting service like Photobucket or Imageshack. Read here to learn how to make an LJ-cut.
When posting fanart or fanfic, please label the content of what you are posting. This means if it is yaoi [boyxboy], yuri [girlxgirl] or het [boyxgirl]. This is common courtesy to fellow fans. Please also label the rating of what you have drawn/written, as in PG, PG-13, NC-17, etc. We're open to any and every shipping of Shirota's, so please don't feel afraid to post your work!
When requesting media, please first look through the community's tags, memories and recent entries before making your request. All posts requesting media must be friend-locked! Feel free to ask questions about Shirota and hopefully members will be able to answer your questions.
As always, when downloading media content from the community, remember that as fans, it's our duty to support Shirota and that means, if we love what we hear or see, you can find the master list here of where to buy all his merchandise. Please check recent posts, tags and memories before making your request, it'd save the community a lot of redundant posts.
Advertising merchandise you're selling or auctioning at the community is always welcomed, as long as they're Shirota related. Buyers, please be aware that Sellers have the right to charge whatever price they want. If you think the price is too high, then please just ignore the post, don't start criticizing the Seller. You can always ask the Seller kindly to reconsider if the price really doesn't fit your budget. Otherwise, don't start a flame war over pricing!
Tagging entries is not necessary, but would be helpful for the community. If you're not too sure what to tag your entry as, that's ok, the moderators will edit your tags after you've posted your entry.
As Shirota will star in more and more movies or tv shows, we request that for those who have seen his movie or tv show and would like to post summaries or their opinions on the movies/tv shows, to put spoilers indicators on their entries to warn fans, who have not been as fortunate to have seen the movie/tv show beforehand.
When commenting, please be nice, polite and respectful to Shirota and all members, commenters and posters. It's a fan community, we want everyone to have fun. NO FLAME WARS! We really, don't want to delete comments or posts. Watch your language and remember to be respectful to Shirota's costars as well.

I was watching it but i stopped because it seems that he never came out
in it. I dont wanna cause anyone to go and look for wat episode but just if

Not sure if that's the actual cover or just a preview pic, but please feel free to speculate as to what is going on in that pic.
Some sites list the name as A toy box and a few list it as "sugao" which literally means "a face without make-up" but it really means something like "real self" and while that's a nice concept I like "A toy box" better.

I don't think anyone has posted anything like this in the past, so I'm not sure if this is allowed.
But you know the drill, if it isn't *delete*
As you all know, Shirota Yuu-san once performed the song Kansha na Kimochi (known to some as Mienai Kizuna) on an episode of D-BOYS.
I sat down the other day and wrote down the chords of the song and thought I'd share them, because I'm sure there are people who might like to try and play the song?
Anyway

Still not 100% sure about accuracy but whatever.

The taiga drama "Tenchijin," which currently airs on Sunday nights on NHK, is being turned into a manga for mobile phones. This is the second time that a taiga drama has been adapted as a comic, after "Yoshitsune" in 2005, but it will be the first distributed in digital form.
However, the manga will have a fairly different feel from the drama series. With several good-looking actors in the show, including the star Satoshi Tsumabuki, it was decided that the manga will have a "boys-love" (BL) flavor, with the main character of Naoe Kanetsugu (played by Tsumabuki in the drama) more closely resembling a boy from a shoujo manga. The artist in charge is Kairi Shimotsuki, who has previously done both BL titles and mainstream titles, including the comic adaptation of the popular "Sengoku Basara" video game series.
The "Tenchijin" manga is being aimed at women in their teens and twenties. Sony Digital Entertainment is handling production and distribution, making installments available on the Zenryoku Shoten site at a price of 50 yen per story (about 12-14 pages). Distribution will begin on May 27.
There will be three arcs, each focusing on a different pairing with Kanetsugu. The first deals with Uesugi Kagekatsu (Kazuki Kitamura in the drama), while the subsequent two involve Ishida Mitsunari (Shun Oguri) and Sanada Yukimura (Yu Shirota), respectively.
Based on the fan response, there is a possibility that the manga will later be sold in book form.

Fueled by the recent increase in Rookies fanfiction, I have decided to try my hand on writing one.
Its very similar to Study, Nikogaku, Study! which i really love a lot. Both are on the studies part of their school life.
Afterall, they still need to pass their exams to be promote yea?
However, ,mine is pretty focus on Shinjo (im bias i know > <) because im not very confident of pulling the other characters off without losing the feel of them.

ROOKIES Aim for Summer Home Run

High school baseball movie "Rookies - Sotsugyo" looks likely to be the hot movie ticket of the summer. Distributor Toei said yesterday that advance tickets sales have reached 180,000 since March 8, surpassing those at the same point for last year's "Hana Yori Dango - Final." That movie went on to make ¥7.7 billion and became the biggest Japanese box-office success of 2008. The two movies seem to have been born from the same formula: they are both adaptations of TV series that ran on the TBS network, and bring to a climax the story that played out on TV; they both made the leap to the big screen because of high audience ratings; and they both feature a cast of handsome young actors. Mind you, though the story revolves around a high school baseball team aiming for the national championships, all the actors are in their 20s. Yesterday, they took on a real team of elementary schoolers in Futagotamagawa, the Tokyo suburb where their fictional school is located, and beat them 6-2. They then led a parade through the local shopping district, where 1,000 fans turned out to cheer them on. The movie is scheduled to open on May 30.
