Hello and welcome to Yuri_challenge, this is a twice-yearly challenge to encourage the creation of fan works about all our favourite yuri pairings. Participation is open to everyone, feel free to join us and participate or enjoy as you like.
Though this is named Yuri_challenge we do accept content from any fandom, including all western fandoms that would generally be classified as femslash.
Timetable
Prompt submission opens – Saturday 29th March 2008
Prompt submission closes – Friday 11th April 2008
Prompts posted, claims open – Saturday 12th April 2008
Deadline for claims – All fic and art due – Saturday 31st May 2008
About Yuri_challenge
In Yuri_challenge, users are asked to submit prompts anonymously. These prompts are collected by the mods and assembled into a claims table, which is then posted to the community. Users can then claim any prompt from the challenge. Any user can claim up to three prompts in total, and each prompt can be claimed once for fanfiction and once for fanart. All fanfiction should be at least 1000 words long and fanart should be of a decent quality (no stick figures or margin doodles, basically, think what you’d like to receive for your claim as a guide for quality). Please remember, if you take a claim nobody else can so if you find yourself unable to complete your claim please let us know as soon as possible as we can make the claim available for someone else.

Age policy
Due to concerns about the bans on lj, we feel we need to have a policy on the use of underage characters in these claims. We do not want to ban outright the use of characters who are under the age of 18, however, we ask that characters under the age of 18 are not involved in graphic sexual situations (fic rated NC-17). We will allow you to age up characters (if your character is 15 in canon you can write a fic where they are 19) and write fic that doesn't contain graphic sex for your underage character. I hope that's clear :)

How many claims can I make
Three in total, including fanart and fanfiction. For example, if you claim two pieces of fanart, you can not then claim two pieces of fanfiction, but you could claim two fanart and one fanfiction, or any other combination as long as the total number of claims does not exceed three.
What is the length/quality limit
Fanfiction should be at least 1000 words long. Fanart is more open to your own discretion but should be of decent size and quality.
Can I prompt for threesomes/moresomes
Yes, as long as everyone involved in the relationship is female.
How do I make/drop my claim?
Please do so in the claims post. This sill be posted on the 27th October.
