deep in a wood, where nothing in seen
Who: Sarah, Aria, Cameron, Aradia, Sky, Oliver, Caroline, etc.
Where: Caroline's house, Palisades, California
When: August 16, 20XX - afternoon
What: Training, watching you, watching me
Cameron was driving, with Aria in the back seat and Sarah in shotgun. Now that Caroline was settling down for birth and the communication system with Level EEE was still going strong, they no longer had to go down to tunnels for Sarah's training. Which seemed to provide more motivation - Sarah wasn't as reluctant to train as she used to be.
The boys had departed to train as well - the Bone Healer had cleared Derek from any kind of break or fracture, but ordered him to stay on the sideline; no more training with Ronon. Derek had only grumbled obscenities but obeyed, knowing with two units knocking around near Caroline's place with more on the way as forecasted by Rose that he had to stay ready. He still continued weapons training and lighter physical training that he could do himself. John was once again going up against Ronon, Rowan taking turns with the Satedan to keep him on his heels.
As they drew near the Palisades Aria made sure they wouldn't attract attention to the two units that were still up, waiting, in the foothills near the sea.
Finally pulling up into the driveway, through the barrier that was only slowly and shallowly pulled aside so they could edge in, Sky looking like a fierce thing sitting on the roof, watching.
The scans and closing of the barrier took a few minutes, but everything turned out to be fine. Sky looked tired.
"We're taking turns watching", she yawned, unlocking the door, Cameron noting that the houses for Reki and Caroline were almost connected, like one big house. It made guarding them easier, less location in case of having to go underground, but at the same time, knowing they were a target wasn't a comfort either.
Cameron nodded, watching Oliver go up to deck for his place on the roof after slathering himself with sunscreen. Knowing that they were prowling around and it was just watching, waiting. At least they had backup. She'd watched them do this so many times before.
"You should sleep." She looked at Sky, who grinned crookedly - when doing that, her biological connection to the Twins was more pronounced than ever.
"I'll be taking you up on that."
The beat of Aradia's little legs resounding through the hall. She was glaring up at Sarah. "You're late." That stern little face, two little hands tugging at one of Sarah's.
