This is a community for everyone to share their music. You can post a request for songs, or you can post a list of songs for people to download. All uploads are made using yousendit.com or other fileshare websites.

3. Before you post, check the tags.
4. You must tag your entries. If you don't know what tags are, please refer to the LJ FAQ. Here are the rules for tagging:

When you create a tag, make sure the spelling is CORRECT. There is nothing like seeing 5 tags of the same band/artist, all spelled wrong.
Include the all of the artist's information (first and last name, special characters, etc).
If you are making a request that has two artists, such as "Britney Spears/Linkin Park" or "Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland", please include both artists (ie, Britney Spears/Linkin Park would be tagged "britney spears, linkin park", etc.).
If you have a genre request, such as "classical", please tag it as such with a hyphen before (ie, -classical).
If you have a theme song request, such as the theme from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, please tag it as "-theme".
If you have an artist such as Angels & Airwaves, use the & to tag (ie, angels & airwaves).
If you have an artist such as "The Beatles", include the "the" in the tag (ie, the killers, the moldy peaches, etc.).
Sometimes, if you are adding tags, you will run out of room. But you can get around that by submitting as much as you can, then going back to edit your post and add more.
Most importantly, do not tag your request posts until after the request is filled. Once it is filled, you can edit your post and add the tags while you download the music. It's not that hard to do and will help the community a lot.

5. If someone uploads anything (especially an album or a large file) on a server that "doesn't work" for your computer, do not ask the uploader to re-upload it for you if you didn't specify which servers do/do not work for you. That is incredibly rude.
6. Do not alter the font colors/make the text ridiculously large. That doesn't make people any more willing to help you, and it looks obnoxious.
7. When uploading albums, please include the format of the files in your post (ie, mp3, m4a, wma, etc). When requesting albums, please specify the format you would like.
8. PLEASE refrain from linking to outside journals. It's disrespectful to this community, and it's unnecessary.
9. Do not back or future-date your entries.
