i am in desperate need of a winter coat. i don't really have any guidelines besides it should be warm, and i should be able to wear it every day. and, of course, i want it to look good.

PLEASE send any links/photos/whatever with good coats! i'm normally a size 0/5'4 with a petite frame, if it makes a difference. and the most i'll spend is $200-ish, but of course i'd prefer less.

Does anyone know if there are still stores with this dress in stock? It's by Christopher Deane and Eva Longoria wore it in an episode of Desperate Housewives. If not, do you know of any similar dresses?

Also, a frat at my school is having a martini party. I suppose I should dress up. The dress code is "black tie optional." Any thoughts as to what I should wear? I'm short so I prefer shorter dresses.

It's New York Fashion Week, so of course, I've been looking at everything that's been posted on style.com instead of doing my molecular biology reading (whoops?). I am probably best described as a minimalist mod and vintage collective person. I often use ideas, music and art as inspiration as well as people I see on the street (or internet for that matter i guess), and I am also a rock and roll person. Here are some things I think are aesthetically pleasing!!! Or exciting.
