AboutIn the old times women were usually always surrounded by other women, mostly relatives and friends. There were plenty of opportunities to discuss family life, husbands, relatives-in-law, and to get advice on the same topics, as well as practical hints concerning cooking, tidying, and other similar things. The busy lifestyle in modern times means that more and more women have no regular access to such resources. Friends may be single or too busy to talk, mother and other relatives may live too far or just be plain annoying.
Young Wives' Tales is a community for (mostly young) married or otherwise committed women, who need a forum to vent, compare stories, complain, share jokes and hints, and generally feminine company. Housewife or career woman, everything goes! If you are single, perhaps you have tales from the past? Older women are welcome too - your advice will no doubt be appreciated!
Rules of the community are simple:
- Remain friendly and courteous.
- If you ask for advice, you may get it!
- Respect other posters' opinions and life situations.
