Hey guys! I thought I'd still contribute to the community since I have some free time. :D Today it's Crystal Kay!

With her rich full voice, she can almost never go wrong in my eyes. *_* ONE was earlier released as a digital single, but now it's here in all its Pikachu glory! What do I mean, you ask? "ONE" will be used as the theme song for the 11th Pokémon movie Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin. It's a great upbeat R&B song; check out the preview! Aside from the regular edition of the CD, there is also a Pokémon limited edition, which features the "ONE" track with Pikachu himself (herself?? lol) and Shaymin.

ONE OK ROCK is one of those pop-rock Japanese bands, similar to UVERworld, so if you like them pay attention!

I think this is the first time posting them here, but Taka the vocalist has an amazing voice. (Little tidbit: Taka was originally picked to be a member of the JE group NEWS and sang a part in "NEWS Nippon" in September 2003. He left the agency on December 13, 2003 right before NEWS' official debut to supposedly pursue his education.) They're a 5-guy band and though some of their stuff is a bit more hardcore, most of it still retains a sort of pop sound. Try 'em out! There's a preview.

Dong Bang Shin Ki, or Tohoshinki, releases their Japanese summer single - one that I am so pleased with!

I'll be honest and say I haven't been keeping up with their releases lately because nothing seemed to catch my eye (or ear, I suppose) but as soon as I heard the intro of this one, I was stuck on it. It's a great R&B song with their usual amazing vocals. One thing I love about DBSK is that they put so much emotion into their songs, and Doushite Kimi wo Suki Natte Shimattandarou? (Why Did I Fall in Love With You?) delivers just that. It becomes a little repetitive after a while, but it's a great song to just sit back and listen to. Box in the ship is a little more summery and upbeat, but it's a great counter for the title track. It will be used on Universal Studios Japan's "Hollywood Dream the Ride" rollercoaster! Great release from DBSK, and looking from today's competition on the Oricon charts, it looks like they may hit another #1 single.

Unfortunately, this is probably known best as a plagiarism album. ~_~ Mainly because many of the songs on this album sound similar to American songs, especially the title Get Ya', which had to stop promotions midway because of a plagiarism lawsuit filed for it being too similar to Britney Spears' "Do Somethin'." Despite that and while this album isn't my favorite of hers, there are quite a few good songs on here, like "2 Faces" and "Last Greeting" (Track 13). These are pretty mainstream pop, a good listen here and there, so try it out.

[Lee Hyori] Vol.3 - It's Hyorish

Lee Hyori finally brings us her full 3rd album: It's Hyorish!

Supposedly "Hyorish" is a term for the sexy and stylish charms that only Lee Hyori can pull off. The first title track is U-Go-Girl, which was composed by E-TRIBE and has a very hip-hoppish feeling like most of the songs on here. It's dedicated to female fans and tells them to "don't be shy, show yourself boldly." The second title track Hey Mr. BiG has more of a dance-electronica sound which has lyrics written by Wheesung, who is also featured in this album on Track 8. The lyrics of "Hey Mr. BiG" include "Be a real man, show heart and courage." I think it's kind of cool how one track is dedicated to females and the other is for males. Hyori also contributed to this album by writing the lyrics to A Barbershop's Daughter (Track 5). There are a few R&B slower songs thrown into the album too. Honestly I like the style of these songs as they seem to fit Hyori (and her voice and range) very well, and I'm excited to see her back on stage again!

[Baby V.O.X. Re.V] Vol.2

With a few adjustments to Baby V.O.X. Re.V's line-up, they return this summer with their second album.

Now composed of lead vocalist Ahn Jin Kyoung, subvocalist Yang Eun Ji, second vocalist Hwang Yeon Kyeong, rapper Oh Min Jin, and subvocalist Park So Ri, it seems that their official name has dropped the "Re.V" and goes only by "Baby V.O.X." now, in tribute to the original group. In the same music genre, this new Baby V.O.X. has catchy dance songs with a touch of a sexy vibe compared to other girl groups, maintaining the original group's image. I have to say I'm liking what I hear, and although the girls don't have particularly strong voices, the songs are very catchy and fun, so give it a try. (Also, note the translated tracklist up for download. I may start doing this for a majority of the posts if you guys like it. :3)

[Daishi Dance] The Ghibli Set

Electronic master, Daishi Dance, brings us an awesome CD of remixes of Ghibli music, just in time for Miyazaki's latest film, "Gake no Ue no Ponyo" ("Ponyo on the Cliff of the Sea") to be released next week (and for me to go see it ♥!).

I have to admit, I've never really listened to Daishi Dance before (outside of their remixes of Clazziquai's songs), but this CD makes the Miyazaki fangirl in me a very happy panda. I'm mostly super stoked that he remixed my favourite instrumental from "My Neighbour Totoro" ♥ If you like chill electronica and Ghibli, I can promise you won't be disappointed. Even if you like one but not so much the other, give it a try. It's surprisingly accessible.

Jade Liu has been in love with music ever since her childhood days. In 2006 she came one step closer to her dream when she was honored as the bronze winner of the popular Super Girl singing contest. One year of preparation later, she now presents her first full-length album. I Am Just What I Am features ten tracks including the principal track "Laughing Tears" (Track 2), which has gained even greater importance as a consolation and encouragement song after the earthquake disaster in Sichuan.

Korean box office hit Le Grand Chef is given a second life on the small screens as Gourmet, starring Korea's handsome Romeo Kim Rae Won (What Planet Are You From?), the beautiful Nam Sang Mi (Time Between Dog and Wolf), funny man Kwon Oh Joong (Secret Lovers), and veteran actor Choi Bool Am.
