All ages are welcome!What is the Young Adult genre? The YA (Young Adult) genre is literature written for (marketed to, published for) the young adult audience. A lot of the characters will have a Young Adult (teen) main character. The young adult ages are 12-18 years old. Although the YA genre is marketed towards teens, many grownups and maybe even some younger children also read Young Adult. Some YA books may not be quite appropriate for younger children under 12. |
