Happy New Year to all! Personally, I'm happy to see the back of 2009. I had a personal family loss last month that has left me dejected and listless. I also lost my stepfather five years ago last month. So needless to say, the month of December is no friend of mine.

So I'm looking to cheer myself up a little by checking in on you guys. How are you doing as we approach our sort of half-way mark? I see the lovely misura has kicked us off to a lovely start with the adorable His Girl Thursday (Whistle!, Tatsuya/Shigeki, PG)

Everyone (participants, members, watchers) is welcome to paticipate and leave requests for our authors. But please keep in mind that this is not a fic exchange, fic or art will not be created specifically for you. Requests you submit may be picked or they may simply be used as inspiration for the writers or artists. Length of fic is up to each individual participant. They may be inspired by a request to write a 10,000 word novella, a humorous short fic or a 100 word punch to the gut. Surprise them with your thoughtful or dirtywrong requests (based on their profile). Give them something to talk about!


Writers:
You can choose to write all requests you receive, a couple, or work on one that grabbed your muse by the hand and refused to let her go. We leave it in your capable hands.

Your submissions are not due until the week of February 14 to February 21, 2010 but feel free to post early if youre finished and would rather not sit on it until next year. You can make your submission to this community your very first fic post of 2010.

I purposely moved the polling to another community to not inconvenience our members and/or watchers. Let's get this community up and running again. With your help I think we can get this community back to its former glory.

Is there a previous challenge you really loved participating in? Choose Your Own Author worked to a certain extent. But there were some issues. For example, some did not receive fic in return because their prompt was not chosen etc. I've got some ideas but there are not quite fleshed out right now.

I want to hear what you think; what you want from this community.

Well, it's two months overdue, but I'm finally finished my claim for the Choose your own adventure mega epic challenge! *waves banner* I had a ton of fun with this and am very pleased with how it turned out - I hope everyone else enjoys it as well!
