Welcome to the home of the Cross Stitch Pattern Exchange LJ Group! We have yet to obtain a web address, but hopefully this will happen soon.

<b>What is the purpose of this group?</b> <i> The purpose of this group is to bring together a wide variety of people, all joining together because we love to cross stitch!
We all love to cross stitch, but we may not all be rich! And so, let's put aside the fact that the floss, fabric, hoops, needles, tools, etc, etc, etc. can all be expensive...and look at the patterns themselves!
Wouldn't it be great if there was a place where you could post all the great free cross stitch patterns that you have found? Where, perhaps, you can come and search through posts and find a cute new project to work on? I know I'd love it. So let's work together! =D</i>

<b>What can I post here?</b> <i>Whatever you like, as long as it pertains to cross stitch! Found a new product you'd like to share? Great! Heard a good tip, hint, or trick? Come share! Want to vent about something that's been bugging you? That's cool, too.
However, the basis of this group is a FREE PATTERN EXCHANGE. Post links to good websites with free cross stitch patterns, or pictures of the patterns themselves. If you post pictures, don't forget the KEY! =D</i>

<b>Are you, or am I, infringing on any copyright laws?</b> <i> If you post a link or picture of a free cross stitch pattern, PLEASE be sure to link, or mention, the SOURCE of where you obtained this pattern!!!!
If you know for a fact that you are breaking any copyright laws, please don't post! But in the general good, no, you're not really. Think of it as making a photocopy for friends from a book. Is that breaking the law? Maybe a tiny bit. If your conscience bugs you, then don't do it. If it doesn't, and you'd like to share with other cross stitch enthusiasts, feel free to post away!!
But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember, if you post from a book, a magazine, a website, wherever....cite the source!! Tell us all where it came from, and provide a link if at all possible.</i>

<b>Can anyone join?</b> <i>Yep! The only requirement is that you enjoy cross stitching! :)</i>

<b>Can I post patterns I've made myself?</b> <i>Absolutely! Post whatever patterns you may have created. We'd love to see your work!! </i>

<b>Can I post pictures of finished products?</b> <i>Well, sure, I don't see why not. But let's try to keep it mostly to finished results of patterns you've obtained here. </i>

<b>Can I copy patterns from this group and sell them, publish them, or distribute them for donations?</b> <i>Absolutely not! Now, that would *definitely* be infringing upon copyright laws! If you want to print something and give it to your friend, post it at work, maybe even print it in a FREE newsletter for your group or community, I don't see where that's a crime. But if anyone makes money for it, then please, be honest and don't steal. This is someone else's work, whether by a professional artist, or just a fellow cross stitcher!</i>

<b>Help! My personal pattern from a magazine, book, webpage, etc. has been stolen and used on this group!</b><i> Inexcuseable! If you have requested that your patterns not be used anywhere else, and they end up here, then please, please, please inform me ASAP at <a href=mailto:kraftikitty@aol.com?subject=someone stole my patterns!>KraftiKitty@aol.com</a> and request that it or they be removed RIGHT AWAY! Action WILL be taken within 24 hours!</a>
