So the new MacBook is out and isn't that lovely, only they no longer make the black edition. This would be fine except for the fact that the power subsystem on my MacBook blew this week making it effectively a desktop and as we all know I'm prone to travelling.
I ran into the Apple store today to see if they still had stock of the Black MacBook available for cheap and was told that they have to send all backstock back to Cupertino and that my best bet was to "Try eBay".
So...

For those that wonder what I am up too since I write only a few words once a month, and not be around that much any longer:
I'm thinking about quitting school AGAIN.
Stop.. I already know what you're gonna say.
"Do you actually KNOW what you want??!"
"You are such a quitter!"
"You should finish and get a fucking diploma?!"
etc etc.
True enough but somehow I start to fancy this study less and less.
It's like a relationship bleeding to death.
First you get a lot of promises and you can see yourself fitting in this completely since this looks like a great chance to finally become something worthy.
But then after a few weeks you notice how fucking pathetic and dumb your classmates really are, and that you are not gonna have the lessons you'd want to learn.
Make up art? RIGHT! They told me so indeed, but in the end we only have 3 classes a year dedicated to the art of applying eyeshadow (only one colour shade and not too heavy.., not even the fading or actual use of it) and a lipstick (yes.. without lipliner or brush.. just the raw version of how to put on lipstick) Oh my god I feel so lured into this now, this is not what I want to pay for at all!
Then you get nailstyling! Hooray! I thought.
Lessons about nailart, acryl nails, french manicure etc.?
NOPE.
How to apply nailpolish and how to shape the nail, that is IT!
When I asked them why I only would get taught a few basics that I already do know by myself, they answered: If you wanna go deeper into the perfection of make up and nailstyling, you should take a course"
FUCK THAT!!! I AM GOING TO SCHOOL FOR THIS, AND THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN PARTS OF MY STUDY AS PROMISED!!!
To put all of this in a shorter language:
I am not gonna learn the things I was studying for, I got told so many pretty things like these but they are not even going to happen the next 4 years, I have dutch class that is based on the skills of a 10years old turkish kid that is about to speak Dutch.
My classmates are stupid cunts. Just an example for the dutch: Je moet een brief schrijven dat begint met Geachte. "HOE ZEI JE?!?! GEACHTE? HOE SCHRIJF JE DAT? PRAAT NIET ZO MOEILIJK MAN, WAT IS DAT?!"
But really, I feel ashamed as much as possible already cause I said the same about the previous school, and didn't make it to university in the end. So while everyone moves on I still wonder who the faillure is.. I guess it's me.
Maybe I shouldn't have quit the Event-study that I did last year, it was something I wanted to do but the school and education was very poor and sad.
But this aint any better I tell you!
What the hell can I do?! I'm doomed to hold on to this, I cannot work fulltime due to health so I have to study SOMETHING for the money that I receive for being a student..
It's also getting late to subscribe to any other study, and besides, what else can I do :S
Do I attract problems? I guess so.
But hey I try my best to make it all pretty and nice..

These folks seem utterly shocked and horrified at McCain. I am not surprised in the least bit. Religious fanatics have no guilt over killing anyone who violates their religious beliefs. No problem in bombing civilians. No problem is getting American soldiers killed. Why would anyone think he would care if a bunch of baby killers were themselves killed?
I really hate political ads which talk down to me like I am a simpleton.

Back in the late 1970s and early 1980s when lilywinky and I were companions, I first heard the phrase "Everything always turns out better than I planned." It was used as an affirmation. I found it unsettling.
I was much more of a flake back then. The last thing I needed was an affirmation which implied that my ass would be saved even if I fucked things up.
Lately, I have been getting a very different hit on that phrase. Let me give you a very recent example.

Someone in MENSA had this phrase in a recent e-mail "I would like to have a companion to keep me company." IMO, very peculiar for someone in MENSA (the International High IQ Society).

=======================================Tonight on the Jim Lehrer new show broadcast locally on Channel 32 WLAE TV, Ralph nader twice used the phrase "Knock the bottom out of the insurgency". He said his plan for a six month negotiated withdrawal followed by UN sponsored elections would accomplish this. While withdrawl of US military and corporate personnel is fine. Replacing the govt with one that is set up by the UN is a recipe for disaster for most Iraqis. Everywhere that the UN has sponsored elections, they have been structured to protect the interests of foreign big business interests with a few crumbs thrown to local capitalists. Years ago the UN sponsored elections in West Papua were set up so that a vote would favor making West Papua a part of Indonesia.
In East Timor, The UN destroyed a viilage based democratic council system to impose its European style type of parlimentary "democracy". In Kosovo, the UN set up a commission to sell off the major assets of the country to foreign investors and maintained veto power over the new legislature of Kosovo. The Iraqi masses who have supported the 'insurgency" which they call the resistance (to US and allied occupation) will find themselves ruled by a govt that will be acting in the interests of at best a small section of the current population. Nader by his statements shows that he is no friend of the poor and workingclass Iraqis. NOw this may be due to his own ignorance of what is really going on in iraq but his comments on the financial crisis show that he is a supporter of the capitalist system and expects the capitalist system to work in Iraq as well. Now none of this is really new since Nader talked about suppressing the insurgency way back before the 2004 election but most Nader supporters have ignored or denyed that fact. I hope McKinney does not fall for a similar approach since she has modified her calls for immediate withdrawal to on of 'immediate orderly withdrawal" Nader apperntly opposes an immediate withdrawal because that would lead to the victory of the "insurgents", that is the mass of Iraqis, Shia, Sunni, and Kurds. This does not mean that one should vote for Obama or McCain who will both support continued suppression of the "insurgency". Any candidates out there who support immediate unconditional withdrawal of all US and allied forces from Iraq and Afghanistan? Les Evenchick
